OT.
I feel like this is the right forum even though it has nothing to do with D2

Yesterday my dog died, he was only 9 month old.
He was the best dog/puppy ever! He was a Chihuahua, when me and my girlfriend first got him I never thought I would fall in love with a small dog like him… Well I did.

He became my best friend so fast.
When I came home he was there even before my girlfriend.
When I went to bed he was there
He was always around. He were me best friend.

He died the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
The doctors can’t tell us why he died.

I don’t know what I am trying to say I just miss my puppy!

Baley, R.I.P we love you for ever.

My condolences. It's always rough losing a beloved pet, but I can imagine it's especially so with a little puppy.

Um, not to sound insensitive, but why did this seem like the right forum? Isn't there an OT forum on this board?

Cus we're a tighter knit community than the OTF?

Just a thought.

Sorry summer  . Same thing happened to me with my rabbit a few days ago. A dog is a lot worse though, I'm gonna feel horrible when one of mine passes on.

Sucks :(

I had this one cat named Oliver back when I was a kid. He would sometimes leave the house, and come back shortly after. However on his last walk back home, some guy ran him over; he didn't even stop. Heck, my grandma and my aunt saw him get ran over. They were furiously crying :(

Guess what? The person who ran over our cat was a relative.

A few years ago, I held my Doberman of 10 years in my arms while he died of kidney failure; I feel your pain.
You don't really get over those things. I still don't like thinking about it.

RIP

The thing that hurts me the most that he was admitted in the hospital Monday night, and we did not se him again before Tuesday where he were dead.

I know pets are not humans, and they don’t think like we do.
Still i feel like abandoning him. Those days in the hospital he probably spend in a small cage surrounded by people he did not know.

I'm sure it may feel like you couldn't be there for him at the end, but keep in mind the little guy probably had a wonderful nine months up until that point. That's probably more than some abandoned or neglected pets have in the entirety of their life. I know it's hard, but try not too beat yourself up too much over it Summer.

Sorry for your loss. Loosing a pet is way harder than you think it would be...

Just have to address this:

He died the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
The doctors can’t tell us why he died.

No kidding? And they charged you billions for that?

Man i hate vets... they do nothing...

How could they not tell you why? Animals dont just randomly die, something had to happen. Sorry for your loss, vets suck.

Vet school is worse than med school and they are paid less. I take my hat off to vets. There is a reason I'm sure but animal autopsies are expensive.....this is straying way OT now.

Sorry for questioning this thread earlier... I didn't realize the closeness of some of the forum members here. Sorry to hear about the passing of your puppy. *Pours Full Rejuv on the ground in memory*

The vet charged me like 1000 euros.
He told me that he’s red blood cells were down to 10% where it should be around 40%
But why it were that low he couldn’t tell me.

the difference between pets and humans are that pets dont burn dead dinosaurs for energy and they dont nuke each other. that makes them more civilized than us IMO.

Sorry for your loss mon ami.

My condolences Summer. A loss in the family is always hard.

Good luck and good hunting to Baley!
Kirah

ps: We've been having problems with pet food recently here in the states, but you're in Denmark so you shouldn't have that problem.

inanefedaykin

Summerfun
05-05-2007, 11:45
What kinda problem was it?

inanefedaykin
05-05-2007, 20:20
The food was bad and it led to a lot of very very sick animals.

I had to hold down my dog of 7 loyal years while he was put down from old age, i know how it feels, it doesn't get any easier, but just remember the good times.
