hi, i was wondering if Anya sells +3 to assassin skill claws at her shop? My friend says she does, but it's really hard to get. Now, i've been going in and out of that portal for a really long time now and all I see are +2 to assassin skills; I'm starting to think that anya doesnt even sell those kinds of claws.

cany anyone confirm this? thanks.

+3 to all skills can't spawn on rare/magic items.

You can however spawn + 3 to a single skill tab, i.e traps, and you can also spawn + 3 to certain skills.

Best you could find at Anya would be +3 traps/+3 lightning sentry or +3 shadow skills/+ 3 venom.

oh i see, thanks for your help. I think i would've spent my days going through that portal trying to find those claws if you hadn't answered my questions :smiley:

I think it's worth mentioning, either of these - especially the former - would be very, very valuable. +3 trap, +3 LS claws sell for a veritable fortune, considering all it takes is a whole lot of portal-hopping and patience to get them.

can be different claw types. just check all claws that anya got whenever you talk to her.

does she sell grey (non-magic socketed) claws with +skills?

would such a claw exist:
Runic Talons
+3 to Venom
Socketed (3)

Nope. The last time you see merchants selling white or grey socket items is pretty much Act 2 Normal.

This is excluding throwing weapons and arrows, which are not socketable and do not come with skills.

If you want to find those talons with +3 venom and 3 sockets, you'll have to go kill kill kill until they drop.

related question, if you use a +skill equipment and cast venom, then remove that equipment before your attack, are you attacking using venom at the higher or lower skill level?

is that answer the same with fade, burst of speed, and shadow master/warrior (will she retain the higher amount of life/resists and higher lvl equip)?

Your venom will be at the same level you casted it (higher in this case). Also, you can prebuff venom with +psn dmg gear (trang's gloves, facets, bramble) and that will also count when you attack (though if you keep +psn dmg gear bonus gets aplied twice, once at casting and once at attacking).

Just to confirm it: there's nothing limiting a third +3 staffmod on items eligible for them. I've seen several claws with 3x+3, and have at least one in my possession.

That myth has been around a long time though.

dont worry sabine.. u arent the only one. i been going in and out of that portal for the week. average at least 2 hrs a day trying to get 3/3/2 or 2/3/2 GTs. hopefully with quickness mod. I would give GG for a claw similiar like anhtaihuman's claws.
