Hey guys! Just finished getting all the gear for my trapper and she's coming out great. Managed to get 1 godly trap claw and 1 ok trap claw. Anyway.

The godly claw is a scissors suwwayah with +3 trap +3ls socketed with two 15allres//-15req jewels.

The other one is a +1 assy skills +3ls scissors quhab of quickness. This is socketed with 2x shael runes.

I'm not sure how trap laying ias and wsm's work entirely. I looked at the tables, but I can't figure out how much 80%ias brings down my weapon speed to. Does 1% = 1 weapon speed?

Anyway, is it possible to get the fastest trap laying speed (9frames) using the quhab in main hand and suwayahh in my offhand?

Are the two shaels overkill or do I need them both? (I plan to be using fade mostly).

Thanks for the tips!

Edit: Ok to just make my question easier to answer.

1.) Will I be able to attain a 9fram trap laying speed using these two claws and no other source of ias? (None from gear, and none from bos)
2.) Can I socket the quhab with 1 shael and something else or do I need both shaels in it?
3.) Does it matter which claw I equip in the main//off hand?

Thanks guys!

1. No. You need 45 IAS from the rest of your gear in order to hit 9 frames with the Quhab on your main hand with 80IAS.
2. With 2x 15 IAS jewels in the Quhab and no other source of IAS, you hit 11 frame trap laying, as opposed to 10 as with 2x Shael. Even 1 Shael, 1 IAS jewel nets you 11 frames.
3. Yes. Only IAS on the main hand counts.

Interestingly, with Greater Talon/Scissors Quhab, 75IAS gets you 9 frame traps, which means that if you could find a faster second trapping claw, you would reach 9 frames.

I would advise using Bloodfists as your gloves though.. They give 10IAS and allow you to 2x IAS jewel your main claw. Plus, there are only a few better alternatives. Namely, FCR ones... Hence, a 15IAS jewel in your hat could help?

Good luck...

Thanks for the help.

How did you come up with that information? What I mean is, since my two claws are different, which claw does my trap laying speed come from? Does it average the two speeds? Does it only take mainhand speed into account?

There is a stickied thread at the top of the forum which has the speed breaks in it. And, yes, the base speeds on the weapons are averaged, but it still only takes your mainhand IAS into account.
