On top of the forums there's sticky called Paladin Guides Thread-Paladin FAQ-Calculations Guide-Rune Words. You should always check from there before asking for a guide.

Err, that guide is outdated for FOH, this is why people post for guides because they see 2004 in the creation date. I know I do this, so much changes once people find better ways to make a class, but the same old links are still up there....

Just scrolled it through fast and it didn't look that outdated to me.
What part of it is outdated in your opinion?

He said they, not him. Plus, a lot of guides are made from years ago, can't change that fact. As for the foh guide, it is accurate but I think it says that 9k is good damage for an foher.. With everything he says to use, the skills and attributes, it doesn't come close to 9k. It's more around 5-6k. (Yes, I built it exactly as he said) I then got my hands on those highly duped foh sticks and it brought my damage up to 8.3k.

Guides stay in the Guide Thread and new ones are added in.

Well it doesn't include two very important parts which is Griffon's Eye, and the FOH stick. these allow the FOH damage to exceed 9k with perfect versions. Of course you could go even farther and get a jeweler's socked armor with +life or whatever and socket more light facets but you really penalize yourself this way, making this a very poor choice.

Also, sandstorm trek's are a good choice when you need to use Chains of Honor for the res.

FCR can be important sometimes, especially when fighting a bone necro. I use the spirit shield that I normally use to BO with, that way you can tele, FOH, tele, FOH much faster to avoid those spears.

The torch and anni are obvious, but also some +life/res charms are almost neccessary, as this setup does not allow any kind of res stack with its formal setup. You COULD use the shako/wiz spike as mentioined in the guide, but you will lose a ton of FOH dmg and -res which you need all that you can get.
I use Shako when I use Grief for the extra mana and res, and putting the rest of my skill points into fanat is vital in this situation.

I'm sure there's some more, but yeah the guide is outdated in a couple ways, and this is why people post for the guides. If anything, the strategies have changed since 04 because many classes were affected by the version changes.

I agree about duped items, but the reality is, in this day and age of diablo 2 pvp and sorbing/res stacking the almighty FOH stick is really neccessary. They're also everywhere. Its the only "duped" item I use only because without it, I really don't stand a chance vs all the sorbstacking going on. Thats just the way it is. Most people can't afford it anyways, so it stays taboo here.

The forum frowns on this matter!

Reality not all players use hacked items.
Fact is, I don't have to rely on hacked items to play this or any other game.
I play the game just fine without them.

Thank you!
