I'm not sure what type of helm I'll be using (still trading for it) so I can't map out exactly how much strength I'll need but it'll be at least 23 hard points into strength. Not bad I suppose. I'm still debating on getting spirit wolves and oak sage, I could make use of both but are they worth the points?

i was planing a pvp lvl 30 ele druid but it was fire based.

I was thinking of spirit shroud armor, sigon shield, rare belt with FHR,Life,Mana, 2xSOJ, sanders/rare boots with FRW,FHR,resist, spirit CS, 2 ele life/mana/etc amulet, either rare circlet with 2 ele/FRW/life/add or rare pelt with 2 ele/skills/life/add.

Me being fire based i don't need FCR as much as you. Things you do need are:

- FRW (no enigma for lvl 30)
- CBF (you will want to be able to move fast)

That's why the belt slot is open. String of Ears, rare fhr/lifer belt that I have or death's. Overall I plan to be very defensive against casters so it's not a big deal imo. Everyone has said that recasting cyclone armor isn't bm so it should absorb the occasional hit.

you're gonna want more frw i tell ya.

Well, charms are the only other way to get any.
Ok, so the heaviest item is indeed the crystal sword and I've decided on an eld'd whistans (cause I have one) with a base block of 94%.

Ok, so I'll need to put 23 points in strength, and 33 dexterity. Leaving 104 points for vitality.
((Total Blocking x (character level x 2)) / the shields blocking value) + 15 = total dexterity needed
((75 x (30x2)) / 94) + 15 = 63 (rounded)
63 - 10 (sanders) - 20 (base) = 33

Shield should be Rhyme Grim. The mods are too juicy to pass up. The cannot be frozen, 25 all resist, blocking, INSANE. You're missing out on 20% FCR from the "eyeless," but I see nothing else on the shield to make it truly worthwhile. Oh, and my .02 on the cyclone armor thing...VERY bm to recast in a duel vs a caster. Did I mention VERY? Also, you mention leaving the belt slot open to allow for using Death's in certain situations. Remember, all good melee LLD's use at least one source of cold damage, and you'll typically be using that SoE against those very same fellows.

The difference is that I can either use eyeless and 2xsoj or Rhyme and 2xfcr rings. Most enemies I could care less about not having movement speed, as I said I'll be playing defensively.

Use Rhyme Grim like Brokensvt mentioned because if I hit you with my guided ( I have cold charm )you will freeze and will be in slow mow. I might slow missile your hurricane or tornado and more bad for you. PLUS I use Riphook w/ NEF. You'll be %slow and kb'd...OUCH...lol
j/k. Seriously, I haven't seen any druids online with out a Rhyme Grim. Hope that helps..

Some duels just aren't going to go well, bowazons and hammerdins being the most obvious.

Yeah, so after dueling with the char I'm completely fine without cnbf but I'm finding that for some duels I just have to have a tele staff on switch. Which is ok cause I've got decent mana regen and about 50 straight tornados before I run out of gas.

Have fun with your 1-2 cold damage charm, I'll enjoy the reduced physical damage.

Hdins and sorcs will be your worst nightmare...unless of course you resort to thul'd hawkmails/hspurs/nokozans lol. Necro's could be bad as well but I recommend using a Grim Rhyme as well. Leaves you able to use the Dr and MDr on the soe. Oh and don't forget: when you nado, walk with it.

Why walk with the tornado?

i promise promise you that run speed > all.

Well, I'll be getting a tele staff so I can't see run speed being very important.
