Need help with gear selection

Hi all, I went trough a lot of guides and finally decided to make a dragon talon/ death sentry pvm hybrid.


I am planning to use a stormlash as my main weapon.

Stormshield

Shadowdancer or Upped Gores


Now I am stucked at either using Treachery, Fortitude or Chain of Honor.

If I am not mistaking I need 95% ias to reach 7/3 dragon talon without BoS.
With a shaeled stormlash.

Using Treachery I wouldn't need anymore ias and focus more on trap dmg synergies. But my venom would only be level 15, is that still usefull at all?

Fortitude would grant me that sweet damage bonus tho.


Amulet, Highlord(with fort or coh), rare+2 assasin or atma ?

I will most likely use a thundergod for belt, fit great with stormlash and stormshield.

trangs gloves worth it to boost a level 15 venom? I might try and cube some nice 10%cb gloves or perhaps someone have a better suggestion?

I might always be able to use some 20%ias gloves with treachery and ber the stormlash?


As you can see I can't make up my mind so any help and tips will be much appreciated.

Venom caps the poisoning duration at 0.4 seconds, thus preventing long term poisoning. Consequently, all other items will only inflict poison damage for 0.4 seconds. Example: Though 700 damage over 10 seconds might seem impressive only 28 damage will be inflicted due to the 0.4 seconds cap.

Its a nice little boost but i don't know whether or not it's worth using Trangs for it as i'm not clued up on how that works! CB gloves sounds like a good idea tho and with the speed you will have sounds like a lot of fun...let's see what the experts have to say...

Trang would boost psn dmg quite a bit. The +25% dmg is, if what ive heard is correct, applied twice, once when u cast venom and once with venom is applied. That would mean 305-325x1.25 = 381-406x1.25 = 476-507, which is a pretty good dmg boost. Id go for trang, unless ur experiencing trouble vs high-hp mobs/bosses, if so go for CB.

Yes. One for activating the ability and one for the actual attack.

treach or CoH. fort is kind of, well, completely useless on a Kicker imho.
i <3 treachery on my PvM hybrids. i look at it as: +2 skills and 28 saved skill points for the cost of a Lem. the 45ias is just a bonus.

in all honesty, i would (and have) use Smoke over CoH.

trangs are THE pvp glove of choice for any venom'sin. for pvm duties, dracs = immortality.

i have played a LOT with crafted Blood Gloves and can highly reccomend them. however, i'd rather use dracs than even the best set of CB gloves. that CtC lifetap is just insanely good for keeping yon fragile kicker alive.
