Smite mods question

I'm wondering if ed or +max on a pally shield transfers over to smite damage. I assume they do (why else would you use grief + fort?) but it seems like a good idea to ask.

I was just about to post asking the same question. :scratch: I think what inanefedyakin and I were wondering is will +max jewels in armor or shields add to smite damage? Also, if they do is this something that doesn't show up on the lcs?

Off weapon ed% (ed from forti, shield) does transfer to your smiter damage.
But i'm pretty sure that max damage doesn't transfer into your smite damage.

Well, grief's damage is simply +min and +max so unless being on the weapon makes the difference I imagine it would transfer.

Then being on the weapon makes the difrence.
Every lld / mld and even higher lvl smiters would be using max damage life armors if the max damage was added to shields damage like in grief's case.

I'm 99% sure max damage jewels does absolutely nothing to your smite damage.
