So I started a Fire Druid 2 days ago and he is in his 80's. I don't have all his gear yet, but I like the playstyle, something different then my button bashing boner. But from my limited dueling experiences with him, max/res absorb is a serious problem. So I need some stash gear to counter absorbers. My Options:

1) 6 Facet Crystal Sword (+30/-30)
2) Infinity (Level 12 Conviction -> -85)
3) 4 Facet Monarch (+20/-20)
4) Phoenix Shield (-28)
5) Ravenlore (-(10-25))
6) 3 Facet Helm (+15/-15)

When I use Ravenlore I look like a chicken and lose Armageddon. I went zero block so I won't miss out on blocking if I use infinity (might put some points in dex later for max block with whistan and put that into stash). So my question is: Which combination of stuff should I put in my stash for the best effect on absorbers? Infinity has one obvious drawback, I need to be close and the aura isn't instantly, but it does give the most -res of all. The facets also give +dmg, but I don't know how much that effects my damage vs absorbers. Phoenix doesn't really offer much more then a faceted shield, only some life and max res.

The other question is: Should I got with Delerium or find a nice rare helm? Delerium gives +2 to my BO/BC and is easier to find, but it has that 1% chance.. and doesn't have as much style as a nice green pelt.

I'd imagine you're right about Infinity there being too much of a hassle to get in range to lock on with conviction. Of the listed items, I'd probably go with the faceted crystal sword and monarch over the Phoenix (at least I'd prefer 20% extra damage with -20 resists over a straight -28 resists). As for the helm, I'd go with the Ravenlore. It wouldn't be a bad idea to shael it either, this is really why I'd pick it over the Delirium, you're going to need fhr especially if you're not sporting maxblock. Also remember you've got volcano and molten boulder (this is almost a must vs. wind druids) that deal both fire and physical damage, volcano's a bit more usable. Try that and see if it does anything before running to the stash for massive - res gear. If it doesn't by all means grab it and make those annoying absorbers nice and crispy. :thumbsup:
