Hi all,

A quick question concerning the assassin skill "Fade".

It has a shorten curse duration feature.
But does poison dmg length also get reduced just like the paladin skill "Cleansing" ?

info would be appreciated :wink3:

cheers

Fade doesn't decrease Poison Duration normally.

I have heard some stuff about having negative poison resistance will increase both the damage and duration of poison. If this is true, and Fade will take you from negative to positive poison resistance, then it will reduce poison duratin.

tnx for the info, I thought so, I needed to be confirmed about it, since I know that the arreat summit sometimes lacks some info regarding skills and stuff.

Seems it's correct this time.

I guess I have to find an amulet which includes 75% poison length duration

Poison duration is unaffected by poison resist though.

Even negative poison resist? I remember something about negative enemy poison resist (like from facets or TO set) prolonging enemy poison duration...

That's something different. -% poison resist from items also reduces poison length resistance, effectively increasing both dmg/sec and duration.

So would that mean that a net of -25% enemy poison resist would also translate to -25% "poison length reduction"?

Which brings me to another question: can it be offset with Remedy/Amelioration/Defiance mods? For example being affected by -25% enemy poison resist, and using Death's gloves (+75% PLR) would result in a net of 50% PLR?

Excuse the OT-ness...

P.S. according to the Tao of Poison, there is a global -100% poison length reduction for characters, effectively meaning double duration for all poisons and thus double damage. How about Nightmare? Is it -40%, just like resistances, or a different value altogether?

Also... is the PLR of Cleansing a simple addition to your net PLR%? e.g. a slvl 5 Cleansing has 60% PLR, if you're also wearing Death's Gloves, and are in Hell difficulty, would it simply be 60+75-100 = 35% poison length reduction?

cheers to anyone out there bold enough to confirm/deny all this mumbo and/or jumbo.

I think maybe the "statistics faq" needs some more work, so we can find all this in one place.

Assuming you're in normal, yes.

It's indeed -40%.

Cleansing works per aura tick (2 seconds) and reduces poison/curse/shrine duration by Slvl*2 percent, rounded down of course.
