I have a lvl 89 wind dru. I hang pretty well duelin friends and such only class i feel a coin toss against is a summ nec, basically its as simple as if i lag i die if not he's dead. Question is should i forsake my Shako for a Nightwing helm for the extra cold damage? or am i better off with the Life/DR from the shako? Atm i'm 40 to all ele skills /w torch/ammy/4skill gc's doing around 5.5-5.7k nado dont know cane off hand prolly 2.3k-2.4k.
Gear i'm wearin atm
Duo Soj's
Spirit Shield/Sword both 35%
Dungo's (for more life dont need arach already max'd life i figured was best)
Waterwalks
Trang gloves ( FCR )
DS nigma
Crafted ammy 1 skill ( i know sucks) but it has 20 life/20 resist all/6fcr
on switch shield/3bo cta.
Shako
Note+ for PI fighters I also have a SS socketed with -req/resist jewel in stash. Also have a Jalals for more fhr vs those as well.
So should i forsake my shako for more damage?

Between the Harle Crest and the Nightwing's, I'd stick with the shako. For dueling you should be doing most of your damage with tornados, not hurricane. Your current setup nets you 96 fcr (35 + 35 + 20 + 6), which is three shy of the 99 fcr breakpoint. You could also lose one of the SoJ's for an fcr ring and easily hit that breakpoint which will help a lot. Keep in mind you'll be losing this when you add the SS vs. melee opponents, and you'll also lose 55 fhr, which I believe puts you below 86/99 fhr (can't remember which is used for swords). You could make some of this up by swapping the Waterwalks for Treks or Shadowdancers or even put a shael in the shako. Another way to get a little more fcr would be to upgrade to a Heart of the Oak or even Wizardspike. Your damage doesn't seem to be off, you just need to think about hitting the 99/99 fcr/fhr breakpoints for melee and possibly 163 fcr for casters. Sorry a helm question turned into all that, but it may be more of an improvement than eeking out a little more (hurricane) damage.

I dropped my spirit sword for a Hoto, i also have a 22% blockrate on my ss/ss and just shy of 4k life with my BO (which is 4 on the cta itself i wrote the wrong lvl) and not quiet max'd sage. also all stat points spent.

Oh, now the max'd life part makes sense, you're going the vita route over maxblock. If you do get amped or even just jumped by a tele-ing summon necromancer I could see how things can get hairy. If you ever consider rebuilding this guy, I'd say try building around maxblock with your SS (some may disagree on this on here, but it really helps vs. melee classes). But for the time being, I wouldn't worry about it. Keep dueling with friends and keep building up your skills. You'll learn a lot more from a friend that can be a tossup as opposed to that are no contest. Also you might give the player matchup forums a try, it's probably a much nicer way to get the ropes and try dueling some new people than pubs.
No Druid should ever use a shako ro a nightwings, ever.
A jalal's would be a much better choice if you can't afford an 08 valk or 2druid 20fcr,2os circlet or a 2druid/3tornado 10fhr 2os life pelt
fhr and fcr are important on a druid as ir all res
Jalals gives 30fhr and 30 all res whcih makes it easy to his the 99 or 153 fhr bp and the 30 all res is invaluable
shako gives you life and mana per level which is not multipled oak sage or bo
trade your shako for a jalals and shael it and you've got yourself a damn good windy helm, because really shako is just crap.

Normally I find myself vehemently disagreeing with Trooper. However in this situation he has a point... Jalal gives the same + skills, Resists, FHR, and str to build around. You're only losing out on 150+ non BOable life and mana >.>.
I'm agreeing with Trooper... The world is gonna end buddy >.>
