help with my vanquisher

216 strength (nigma, 30 str belt, etc, so base is around 80)

3 fanat
1 in all prereqs

My hammers (in hammer gear), are only doing 3358-3596. I've heard of people with over 11k in hybrid gear and I'm wondering how they're doing it. I don't have any Pcombs, and I only have +6 skills/+1 offensive auras.

My smite (in smite gear) is doing 194-321. I have 46 IAS/85 CB in my current set up. I'll be recieving a Grief soon (so thats 86 IAS) and I'm wondering how much it'll boost my pitiful damage by :sad2:

I haven't never made a vanquisher, so not sure what kinda damage they can do.
However you should try pump your hammer synergies more and get more + skills gear and few pala combat sks. Would be easier to say what items you should change if you tell what gear you use. :tongue:
It should be fairly easy to get like ~10+ plus skills.

Your smite damage seems quite low. Grief will boost your damage quite a bit. However it won't show the actually damage of grief in the character screen.

Can you list what gear your using? Would be much easier to help.

From the top of my head:

Helm: Vamp Gaze (:\) / Guillames Face
Ammy: rare with +1 offensive auras/10 all res/life
Armor: Scarab Husk Enigma
Gloves: Magefists / Laying of Hands
Weapon: Wizardspike / Fleshripper
Shield: rare +2 pally skills/block rate/chance/resists / Stormshield
Belt: rare with 17 fhr/30 str/fr
Rings: rare with +mana/cr / rare 10 fcr/13 str/17 lr
Boots: Waterwalks / Goblin Toe

Probably soon to get a Shako. I really need some new rings though, my 1st ring blows and my 2nd ring is most likely to be traded for a 2/2/3 CTA.

Change gaze for shako.
ammy for +2 pala sk amulet
weapon wizzy / hoto for hammer switch, grief for smiting
Try change that shield for spirit and storm for some zaka or some other elite paladin shield.
Storm's smite damage is quite low compared to elite paladin shields.
Arach is prolly your best bet however if you cant get arach that belt might work.
You want to hit 75 fcr bp, 125 would be prolly better but 75 works too.
with 50 wizzy, 20 mages, and min 25 from spirit 75 fcr bp is covered.

Vanq= BH/Smite/Charge.

You need to remake.

Max- BH/Blessed Aim/Vigor.[For hammer Damage] Conc.

Then +5 to holyshield, +10 into Smite. and +5 into Defiance., Of course + 5 to Defiance is optional.


My old vanq did around 13k hammers, 1k smite, and 3k charge.

Hows he looking now?

in hammer gear: 4.8k hammer dmg. Still need shako, hoto, etc.

in smite gear: ~3k smite when factoring in grief dmg. It seems kinda low, but will my Exile's lifetap make up for it? Crushing Blow is the main damage against ubers anyway right?

Smite: 2k Dmg
Hammer: 12k Dmg
Charge: 2k Dmg ( NOTE THIS IS GRIEF PB THATS ALOT OF DMG)

And by the looks of the gear you have chosen u are heading in the wrong direction man

Work out your holy shield

its all you will need for smiting

Conc+ smite = Fantastic you wont need fanat at all

Slap on some minor ias Prefferably highlords + 20% gloves and youll do quite fine it works well

I can easily outsmite most smiters Unless there GFG not to many though lol

Gloves: Trang Oul's (Frostburns when running for keys just so I don't have to keep quaffing mana pots) / Laying of Hands

Character screen doesn't display grief's damage correct. Your grief does more damage and more constant damage than your runemaster. Use grief. :tongue:

ber'd shako- 2 ALL skills,mass life, mana, dr, 2 stats :D mmm sexy or maybe a godly circlet for a 125fcr build

nigma- duh?

maras- 2 skills 5stats 30res :D

sojs- skills mana

arach- skills, slow,mana

waterwalks- huge life, 15dex for max block

trangs- fcr res

grief pb- godly smite damage and with ur + skills and the ias from a grief pb youll hit the max smite attack speed using a fanat that has 1 point in it ^^

45 res sacred targe spirit- fcr to hit 75 fcr, 2skills, fhr, life, mana, res, decent chance to block

9x pcomb lifers-smite/charge/hammer damage
10x 20life/5all res scs- life + massive res yes please

1 redemption- for pvp uses since i dont use a insight merc
