Im makin my 1st kicksin and am not entirely sure where to distribute the skill and stat pnts other than 20 dTalon.
alot of the guides are helpful to me, but im just a little uncertain of what the build should look like.
im going for a PvP kicksin btw.

Nn 20 dt, get 24 after BC +skills, max venom ofc, weapon block if c/c, but imo flashripper+SS > c/c for kicker pvp, nuf str fo sdancers, rest life, 1 pt WoF and MB ofc, fade nuf for 50% dr with SS and ber/ber coa if u have one, arach, trangs, eni AP, raven, mara or gg rare amu, gl lol

first up, don't max 'talon. you really want it to top out at either 3 kicks (lvl12-17) or 4 (18-23) after all +skills. longer d-talon volleys can be a liability in PvP, the debate between 3 kicks or 4 has been the subject of many a forumz holy war, so i'll leave the decision to you.
second: are we making a caster slayer or a melee tank'sin here? the difference being a caster hunter will use dual claws (base/low dex build) a melee'sin will want a shield and pay the dex-investment for max block with a stormshield. there is a real decision to be made here. a melee'sin can don claws easily v casters, they'll just have lower life. a c/c'sin can jump in against melee, they'll just have lower block.
heres a couple links:
a recent thread on this same topic (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=546696)
ilkori's gospel of 'sin (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=405240) <-- aka, the 'kickers bible.
BTW, my guide has lots of PvM info and mechanics, but it isn't the best place to get skill placement or equipment advice for PvP.

ok. now im rather confused because the guide im going by is ilkori's. if its not a guide to go by for pvp then where do my skill pnts go?

:flowers: i'm well aware of that, but it's still reccomended reading for any aspiring 'sinner whos contemplated the d-talon skill. :flowers:
Ok never having used dragontalon before, looking at the guides:
Does each kick target one or multiple and is it uninterruptible?
Glimmershred is a pretty good weapon if you want loads of elemental damage then.
Nats claw may also be a good weapon with the +cold damage, and +ed vs demons/undead as well.(EDIT: looks like this doesn't work on kicks? so Laying of hands is useless then?)

targets one target only for the whole volley and it is interuptable, just it's also very, very fast.

the unique flying axe? yes, its a fantastic pvm kick weapon.

have to admit, i don't think Nats when i think 'kicker. mostly due to the boots not being up to snuff in the base damage department. %damage to demons etc off weapon works just fine afaik, same as %ed off wep works. however, physical damage is never really the huge killer for kickers. being able to stack on elemental damage & proc's (crushing blow! CtC Static!) with a rapid, high-AR attack to drop one target, then having a death sentry to make with the auto-boom-boom is a 'kickers strength.

20 dTalon
20 dFlight (shuld i even consider this?)
20 Venom
not sure what else other than 1 pnt wonders and pre's.
and ive decided that i want to be a mageslayer.

Also im currently clvl 37. and dtalon is slvl 20. heres my skills so far
20 Talon
2 DFlight
2 Venom
1 dclaw (pre)
1 dTail (pre)
1 in every shadow discipline w/2 in venom
1 FB
1 WoF
1 BS
1 BF
thats it so far. im also wonderin if i should put at least just one point into Blade Shield.
Apparently you're already their for blade shield... so definately put 1 pt in it. Other than finishing venom off...
You want pts in fade to reach a respectable damage reduction (1pt = 1%). The goal would 50dr if possible w/ gear.
Also if you go claw/claw set up, then pump up ur weapon block to 60% if possible.
Do you have your gear arranged for high lvls yet? Or what do you have so far? I take it you haven't put much in dex? You'd need dex if you went with a wep/shield set up, but u'd not need so much w/ a claw/claw build.
for pvp you've got your build all wrong. like said in past page you want 3-4 kicks depending on you
max venom
max mind blast
1burst of speed (is sufficient to get enough speed for all weapons to reach your bp with all +skills)
1 dragon flight
1 shadow warrior (tankage like windy druid's tele stomp)
for traps YOU must have wake of fire (1pt)
light traps u could consider lightning sentry because of different hit recovery animation +wake of fire + mindblast = stunlock needed for vs all melee and casters.
blade fury is a must times when you need to take out some minions or agrovate enemy to be offensive and get trapped within ur stunlock that was preset up. 1pt
blade shield may help save you hit recover other opponent for you to tele away 1pt
if your c/c max wep block basically no dex unless needed for claws and for wep shiled u NEED max block so loads of dex easily switched out for c/c
gear would be wiz/ss , 20 fcr 2 asn skill/ 3 shadow discplines/ 20frw +optional mods of res and life and add 1 shael for fhr
enigma
shadow dancers
arachs
dual ravens higher stats=better
trang gloves (psn and cast)
ss (ber would be a good idea)
weapons to be thinking about would be:
wiz, fleshrender, stormllash (might want res jewel in wiz while dueling casters)
46% dr is pretty decent enough
amulet would be a 2skill/3discipline +20fcr (optional of str life dex etc, res)
charms would be shadow/fhr (btw you need like 86fhr? not sure , you're going have to research)
dueling people u will always need stunlock ALL THE TIME hence max mindblast for maximum stun length without it, good luck trying to kill a decently geared char with maybe 1/4 inventory of decent charms or just reg 20 life scs.

Leveling is pretty easy to come by until you start hitting high 80's and then you start getting into 30, 40, 60, etc baal runs per level. I guess what i'm saying is that you can experiment with this char tryin different things and then remake. I did 3 variations of a pvm kicker/trapper before I got it to my liking. I probably have nine lvl 85-90 sins that are mules now from me just experimenting with diff builds this ladder.
