1st of all, I dont have net at home so i dont play realms and haven't managed to patch up so im playing on 1.07 so if there's anything i mention thats been drastically changed/removed/nerfed horrendously, pls bear with me. I'd be happy to hear your opinions since she's still only lvl 41 anon act 2.

current skills (in use):
M arts: TStrk=1, CStrk=1 PStrk=*6 DClaw*=1 DFlight=1pt

Shadow: BoS=6 CoS="1 CM*=6 Cblock"=6 SW=1

traps: Dsentry*=1

*:will be maxed
":7-10

Stats: (with item bonuses)
str=92
dex=115
vit=60
en=base

My general technique is to use CoS to keep ranged attackers from shooting and prevent me from being swarmed by melee. combined with the freeze of Pstrk, i can take out resurrectables and hold small swarms at bay while i take them out with the help of my might-merc, charging up for the next Pstrk and "refill" (Cstrk). death sentry also helps clear out corpse and lay down a siege off lightning and corpse explosions (very VERY handy for Baal's minions :])
I find BoS much better than fade as i find resistance a lot easier to build up than IAS since IAS doesn't occur on as many items. Dflight at the mo is a conveniance, but as Sorc player at heart, i have learnt an appreciation for being able to instantly appear on the other side of the screen.

I haven't included items here since I'm playing single player and have to "take what i get" as it were. i have a 1-79 ltng dmg circlet that i found pretty early which I'm still using.

Let me know what you think

Oh god... I can't even remember 1.07... Patch up ok!

The game has changed a lot since then, and it is my opinion that 1.10/1.11 is the best patch the game has seen.

But hmm... what skills were even good back then?

I think perhaps Tiger strike/Dragon Tail might have been a workable build, with Fists of Fire for dealing with immunes?

Gear wise, I cannot help at all, I never played 1.07, I am basing these reccomendations on 1.09... haha...

I rather have a hybrid. TS/Dtail with LS and DS.

You can also deal with immunes by just using TS btw.

P.s. Why the hell can't you get a new patch? You can download it from an other computer, right?

all this advice is for 1.10/1.11...

when you get into hell resistances will be harder to find unless you have very good equipment.

if you're going to max dragon claw you won't need claw mastery, as dragon claw gives you all the AR you will need. i would recommend more points in shadow master. i would choose shadow master over shadow warrior also, master is capable of using more spells and self-buffing in attacks.

you don't need to max death sentry - if you're not a trapsin (trap specialist), you're only using death sentry for the corpse explosion and it needs only one point. putting extra points in fire blast will help with the synergies - more shots. instead, consider venom, one of the strongest spells the assassin has - at level 20 you are adding 435 poison damage in one strike, and the assassin strikes fast (good weapon speeds) and frequently (good AR). helps with PIs too.

That's not really true. A 1 point Death Sentry is nice, but a 20 point Death Sentry will clean up the whole screen (and beyond) for you. Don't underestimate the importance of range with CE.

I'd understand what you're saying Stephan, but I'd be inclined to agree that more shots of CE is better than higher dmg for fewer shots. This is just my personal preference - I like to have the occasional explosion in the background/stunned guy wandering around while I take names with my Chuck Norris martial arts stylings :thumbsup:

its personal preference. same amount of damage either way, just more monsters damaged. if its a trapsin you'll want more points in DS cuz thats one of your main killing spells. if you're not a trapsin, you're not worried as much about monsters at the edges of the screen as compared to tight packs.
