ive been doing some research, and kinda liked the idea, same with my other post i used to have a windy but want to use the left side of the skill tree now. anyone have a pvp fire druid? are they any good? build will be helpful. this is pvp too.

what i thought of just now.

earth shifter wep (+7 elemental skill)
good delirium helm, shako, jalahs, etc.
enigma or coh
treks
mages (+1 skills)
arachs
soj bk
good druid ammy (maras)

skills are all the ones along the left side of the elemental skills pretty much.

is that pretty much what im looking for?

I'm working on one atm (almost lvl ~92) but I have quite a few different gear choices picked out.

I don't think Earth Shifter is good for anything suited for PvP. That str req and no blocking just screams PvM.

FCR is less important on a Fire druid because of all the timers. I believe it's 2 second cool down for Fissure, 4 second cool down for Volcano, and 6 seconds for Armageddon. Still, I hit the 68% FCR breakpoint for quick(ish) teles. And don't neglect your FHR, aim for a nice amount.

I'd skip the Delirium (that's not a PvP helm to me) and would get a Jalals, a nice rare, or a Ravenlore. A Ravenlore is eventually what I'm gonna use. You're also gonna need CBF in your gear somewhere so you can run at a normal pace. Armageddon works best with minimal tele and with the skill timers, you're going to be running a lot anyway. (Obviously not all the time, but more than you would if you were a windy)

Anyway, good luck with the char and maybe I'll see you in a game sometime. I'll be the only other fire druid...

armor go for enigma and thats it.

I havent made one but I have dueled a few good ones. And theyre better then windys.

Try this

hoto 3 all skills 40% fcr
spirit monarch 2 all skills max 35% fcr
Uni chicken hat its fire orintated thing called
Raven lore 3 to ele
and -10-20% eneamy fire resists
sojs or bk 1x2 all skills with eather life or mana
spider sash 1 to all skills 10% fcr
mage gloves love them 1 to fire skills and 20% fcr
crafted druid fcr amulet
treks works

Thats what they where using and they did well. Alot better then what I would have thought.

Im thinking of making one too. With maxed grizzly too... One thing im wondering on is max block or not. claniraq said no block, but thats kinda weird in pvp... but you suggest spirit well then its auto no block... Should you only rely on l33t tele/run skillz?

@ pedu- A shaman? I've always thought of them as more of a 1.09 build but I can see how they could still work. I'd probably get block with them since they use those Grizzly tele bombs. Isn't the first Grizz hit a 2 fpa Smite or something like that? And with the swirlies dished out by the bear you could get easier locks with Volcano. Could be gg.

I skipped block (the first pvp char I've ever built without block I think) on my fire druid because I figured he'd be running a lot. That and I plan on more pub-oriented duels in the beginning and those guys are just suckers for their casters. My setup is also pretty heavy on the -resist aspect (-58 FR) which again, is more oriented towards public duelers. Against skilled duelers I would probably have been better off with more +skills and block.

Its for pubbies. So no block it is i guess.

If it's a shaman for pubs I suppose you ought to be able to get away with maxblock as claniraq advocates. You will have a bear and one point oak sage as a minion stack. And keep in mind the only time you should really be telestomping is when your opponent is already in recovery due to a namelock volcano under their feet. I'd also love to see the shaman when he's done, I had one for pvm that did alright when taken into pubs, but with maxblock I felt his life was a bit on the low side, then again I could just be used to playing a bear with seven thousand life give or take a little.

So... how do you beat bowas without max block?

pedu

Cant beat them all... but dont think bowas like fissure under their feets.

Yeah, But my thing is that how are you going to play a non tele dependent build with no lock? Even with Fissure's mechanic a charging Smiter can and will kill you. I can see going no block for CvC duels but CvM you should at least have a max block switch in stash just in case.

so this means i go max block, correct?

btw, you guys helped me tons...thank you!!!

what damage are you looking at with a build like this?

I made one a few weeks ago for Pvm and yea def hit a brick wall with Fire Immunes... so PvP is def a way to go, max all the fire skills scept arma.. and 1pt oak(life one) and grizzle... not a big druid fan but i always liked usaing fissure...

and this was one of the easyest chars to lvl up for me, with i think the only peice of twink age till enigma/hoto fas magefist, since everything but firestorm is on cast delay so not much need for FCR.... but then once enigma comes into play then there was a need....

i was pumping out 4-5 k with fissure and around the same with fire storm too...

enigma
hoto
Raven lore
spirit monarch
magfist
treks/waterwalks forgot
2 10% fcr with reists...
20/20 druid torch(self found)

and thats all i had no skillers.. but rest were resist charms....

it was fun until like i said hit hell with fire immunes.. then the fun stopped, but maybe ill brin him to the Pvp scene.... honeslty i dont remeber his stats... but i belive i went for Vit... with oak roughly 1.2 k life...

what damage are you looking at with a build like this?

FWI's PvP Fire Druid had these numbers with an inventory of skillers, anni, torch, and the standard gear. I'm shooting for slightly less at end game. (some different gear choices)

16K Armageddon
4.4K Fissure
3.4K Volcano

I also basically followed his outline in skills except I tossed a point in Ravens and Spirit Wolves because I believe minion stack is an asset and definately worth the points on a no block caster druid.

20 Armageddon
20 Fissure
20 Volcano
20 Molten Boulder
x-20 Firestorm [maxed last, at clvl 95]
1 Oak Sage
1 Arctic Blast
1 Cyclone Armor
1 Twister
1 Tornado
1 Hurricane

If you go above clvl 95, You have a few choices as to where you want to go. First of all, you can put the rest into Oak Sage [up to 4 more at lvl 99]. Second, you can chose to put one into ravens [prereq] and then one into Wolves for more distractions.

I know his guide was posted over here...it's a damn shame that it didn't get stickied. Same with Karps/Verash's Flaming Rabies and jaysons FC guides. What's it take to get stickied or added to the guide list around here?

Uncle Mike posted Flaming Rabies in the PvP stickies. I think it's just a matter that This forum's stickies haven't been updated. I may consolidate the new guide links and PM Shap them and ask him to update. But laziness > me.
