Best Charm find place? What MF is best to use?

I got 2 problems :undecided:

1. I have heard Tombruns in nightmare will gives alot of Charms, is that right? Or does it exist better places? Charms I find in NM, can they be same good as in hell? ( Better chance to get good charms from hell )


2. My friend told me that 300% mf is enough for a MF sorcs, is that right or bull****? Now I got around 700% MF it feels that I found pretty low uniqe good items, when my friend use 300 and found much better items, or is it only luck? :azn: . He said 300 were best, even better than 1000% MF. Im pretty wierd :undecided:

Apart from ghost-like creatures, no monster really has a "better chance" to drop charms. Your best bet would be to farm areas with a huge quantity of monsters, such as the cow level, or flayers jungle. If you can breeze through flayers pretty quickly, you'll find alot of charms simply because there's alot of monsters there.

Hell charms are only "better" than NM charms because they have access to more affixes. If you want charms that are capable of getting +1 to class skills, then you only need to search from NM act 3 (Great Marsh and beyond). These GC's are also capable of getting upwards of +30 life. If you want higher than that though, you'll need to find a GC from a monster with a higher mlvl.

1000% MF is "better" than 300% MF, yes. But there's several things you need to understand though. MF% works in a diminishing returns fashion with regards to uniques, sets and rares. 300% MF is only 136% MF with regards to uniques. 1000% MF is only 200% MF with regards to uniques. So while you do have a better chance of getting uniques with 1000% MF as opposed to 300%, it's not huge.

Likewise, another important factor is your killing speed. Your friend might only have 300% MF, but he might be able to kill monsters faster than you can with your 700% MF. If there was no difference in killing speed for someone with 300% and 700% MF, then the 700% MF should technically find better items. Mostly though, it all boils down to luck.

Does magic find it easier to drop charms? Or is it as runes? That they not are magic. Does mlvl matter when you wanna drop charms?

What char you recommend to use in flyer Jungle+cow loevel? I use atm Lightning Sorc ( 47k dmg )
I prefer too be in hell ofc, but NM is same good ( or better ) to find +30 life +1 all skills charms etc? Or only there it's much monster?

One more thing --> Does it matter how many players you are in the game, it feels that is bigger chance to drop more and better items when you are 5-8 players in the game, is that right?

The chance for a +1 skill tree GC is bigger in NM Great Marsh/Flayer Jungle than in hell, since there are fewer affixes available.

MF only increases the chance of a GC beeing the unique GC, "Gheeds Fortune". It doesn't increase the amount of charms dropped. Monster level only matters if you are looking for higher level affixes.

If what you want is skillers with high life, I would suggest Hell Cows. There you can get GC with +1 skill tree and up to +40 life. NM Great Marsh/Flayer Jungle is better if you are satisfied with max life of 30. Your Lightning Sorceress will tear through both places in no time.

Thanks for all info m8, now I only need to know: What monster have highest level ( Without bosses ) ? Is it cows in hell?No. for nonboss monsters in nightmare and hell, mlvl = area_level. Normal cows are only mlvl 81, but there are areas with normal mlvl 85 monsters.

If you want charms with up to 40 life, you just need to be in a place with area_level >= 77. If you want 41-45 life on a grandcharm, only charms from Hell Nihlathak, Hell Diablo, and Hell Baal will suffice.
