...well not until 2008.

I posted this before the roll back and since it is now gone I'm reposting.

Anyhow this is the site (http://www.fordvehicles.com/flex/?searchid=426441%7C15932595%7C96444300) I really like the look of it and since it is a little smaller than my Expedition there should be good savings on gas (about 10-12 mile per gallon is the estimate). That is even with the Advace Trac All -Wheel-Drive, something I will need to get out of my driveway in the winter.

It still has room for hockey equipment, and fully loaded it should be a much less than the loaded Expedition so my monthly payments should come down considerably as well.

Blah blah something about me knowing its a Ford, whatever I posted last time.

Christ, that thing is fugly. I'm sure it is functional and all but I wouldn't want that parked in my driveway. Try getting this (http://www.allsportauto.com/photoautre/astonmartin/dbs/v12/2007_aston_martin_dbs_02_m.jpg) instead. While you are at it get me one, too.

Ok, yeah, the AM is very nice, but practical for a family with four kids.

Judging from the pictures on the site, I'm not that fond of the Flex either. I'm really, really hoping it's better in person as I'll be the one driving it.

If you get a better color, it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah, I definitely do not want the two tone look there. I do like the windows in the roof though.

I don't know how, but every year the Vanquish gets more and more orgasmic (http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-vanquish-s-ultimate-edition/158669/).

I'm not a car person... but hot damn, the curves on that thing!

Yeah, that thing is fugly. Is it even legal to make a new car that only gets 10-12mpg? I thought the government said at least 15mpg and at 20mpg there was some kind of tax write off or something.

I also think that is one of the worst sites ever, it makes me hate the car because they focused on animations instead of content and ease of use.

Eh, im not a big fan of Fords, and not a big fan of the looks of this car. Its like the full SUV version of the Scion juicebox.

My boss's best friend had one of those for a while. You think the picture looks good? Try drooling on it in person. I had to change my pants after touching it.

THe inside looks kinda nice; and I liked that Ford Sync thing. The outside on the other hand...

But damn, the last row of 2 seats has ZERO legroom. There was no way in their animations that they couldnt hide that... there are literally about 5 inches between the 2nd and 3rd rows.

And that Aston Martin is so nice...both of them :cloud9:

The Silver and Frost Blue color is pretty nice and will probably be the one I go with of the 4 color schemes I've seen.

Like rare said there doesn't seem to be a lot of room between the second and third rows and how do you get to the third row? Do you have to climb in through the back or is there room on the side (like a van) that I'm not seeing? It doesn't look like there's much room for storage with the third row being right on top of the liftgate...I wonder if the seats can be folded down or rotated to face the back like the old wagons. I think it just looks like a modern take on the old station wagon.

I think he meant in comparison to his Expedition.

Wouldnt it be a bit better if you choose it, since you'll be driving it?

there's several nice roomy SUV's/Vans that dont look like...that.

There are several SUV's that don't look like that yes and we drive one currently that is only 3 years old, with her paying for the gas during the week to take the kids back and forth to school I'm sure she would like something that gets better gas mileage. As far as the room behind the second row there is plenty to fit a small adult or in our case short legged kids. The storage behind the third row is suppose to be the same as behind the third row in my Expedition which is just enough for a hockey bag with the seats up.

I will not purchase a van, an Ford no loner makes a mini van anyhow, this is it's replacement.

I purchase Ford because I get them for 5% below dealer invoice.

Am I the only one that thinks the boot(trunk) and door panels has a Chrysler Crossfire sort of feel with that ribbed metal, it doesn't really seem in keeping with the rest of the car, not bad though.
It seems fine apart from that (and that's really a personal thing).

I hate Ford's new styling pattern, and I say that as a Ford guy. Wait and see if the Mercury version is better.

It doesnt have to be fugly to get good gas mileage though :sad2:

And for kids it does seem okay...but like someone said I dont get how they go in the back, since it doesnt have a very big door. It just has 4 doors, unless you go in the 3rd row through the trunk or what :prop:

The second row seat folds and flips forward, it is the same way for my Expedition.

Oh and I don't ind it fugly short of the white top that is, make the top the same color as the rest and I'm totally ok with it.

Wow, that is ugly. I once had to rely on a Dodge Omni, and I still think that is ugly.

And HolyMotherOfCrap that is one tiiiiiiiiiny bit of leg room. I understand this will be for children, but that is really quite small. I really don't know of any alternatives, though, and it is your money.

You realize there's a sizeable "industry" in car modifications.

Plus I'd need big firefox/thunderbird/mozilla decals on it too.
