I'm making a shapeshift druid for the first time, and I need to know where to put the main attack skill.

Should I use Feral Rage or Fury?

It seems like fury might be better because of the big dmg/ar increase, although Feral Rage has dmg/ar/rw and something else I cannot remember.

Which is better for pvm? I will be doing some pvp also.

Fury definitely is what you want. If you have the items, consider getting Rabies as backup skill if you want to play PvP.

Fury is defeinatly the skill you want to max. Depending on your wealth and such, a few points in feral never hurts for PvM.

A good fury druids pvm strategy is run up and feral a few times until the ball circling you doesnt get any larger, then fury. And just hit an enemy once every 20 seconds with feral and fury away again.

Love the bonus r/w, and leech on feral, love the ar/damage on fury :)

Oh ok cool thanks.

Is 1 point in fury adequate? I have somewhere around +8 in bonus to skills equipment.

Also, should I equip a torch or not? I know it's annoying to cast the firestorm in melee.

Welcome to the wild, wild world of Wolves!!

Some people put a several points into Feral for use against the ubers. Being able to focus upon one boss is useful in Uber Tristram. AnimageCGF is very correct about the feral then fury strategy every 20 seconds.

I've found the firestorm amusing to watch while using my wolf. But that's a personal decision.

good luck and good hunting!

You should put every point into Fury until it is level 20 (hard points). Unless you're doing Über Tristram runs, I don't see why you would need more than 9 pts in Feral Rage. Fury is going to be you main attack skill, simply because its a much faster attack than Feral Rage and offers a huge ammount of Enhanced Damage.
Use Feral Rage the way AnimageCGF described if you want to. Personally I rarely do it, but again, I always have great equipment. And the Life Leech carries over to Fury when you got the red, swirly thing going.

I see no reason no to carry a Torch if you got one with +druid skills on it.

For Shiftshaping Werewolf Druids this is the most common...

For pvp/pvm
Rabies/Fury
Fury can come in handy in pvp... but if your planning on going to pub duels you will need rabies.

20 Fury
20 Rabies
20 Poison Creeper
20 Lycanthropy
1pt Feral Rage
1pt Ravens
1pt Spirit Wolfs
1pt Oak

Lastly (rest of points into Werewolf )

9 pts in Feral Rage
As fury/rabies druid you should have 9x SS lifers, anni, torch
So you shouldn't need more than 1pt in feral.

For pvm only
Pure fury
Fury druid is your best choice for pvm. Rabies does so little dmg in pvm and alot of stuff is immune to poison fire damage is even worse off.

20 Fury
20 Lycanthropy
20 Feral Rage
20 Oak Sage or Heart of Wolverine
1pt Rabies
1pt Ravens
1pt Spirit Wolfs

Extra points usually thrown into Cyclone Armor.

Unlike Rabies/Fury you will not use skill gc's. Instead the best possible charms in inventory would be 3/20/20's (or any legit fine sc's, 3/20/10 , 2/10/20, 20vita, 20vita/res ect...)

The biggest diffrence being rabies, instead of maxing rabies which is useless in pvm you max a oak to help with damage or life. Where oak dies extremely fast in pvp.

Pure fury would be better for pvm since rabies doesent work to well in pvm. and yes you wont need skills gcs

Ok for your pvp build thats a diffent NO!

Ya we did that as in, wolf pack. You might have meet a few of us by now. Maybe watched at least 1 of kibas videos.. Ya he used to do what your talking about for pvp skill wise..

The truth is that maxing oak sage out and keeping werewolf at 1 point is alot better.

You know if your going around asking for addvice when you just come here. You might want to hold off on giving addvice.

Also your pure fury werewolf ideal isnt right eather.

Ya you made a point and a few people will agree with you on that. But still if you want the best of the best for pvm. Your going to want to make a fury/hunger werewolf with a greif phase blade, treachery armor, and a pair of dracs. Its so good iron maiden cant effect you..
