It's the fact that it's essentially a Fury/Rabies without the secondary attack. Spend the 40 points you'd spend on Rabies and Creeper and either:
Max WW (not suggested for PvM)
Max a spirit
Get some Summons.

Haha, first time that I've heard it that way around; so Fury build is Fury/Rabies, just without the Rabies?? (sorry, I can't help teasing you)
Anyways, yeah, what Verashiden said. Do you feel the urge to start a Fury druid or do you have any particular (or more specific, perhaps) question? We'd be happy to help you out!

Here's a guide (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=539690&highlight=fury) for pure fury wolves, and pvp oriented of course. Pure fury wolves are more of a gm melee build (being fully aware of how problematic that qualifier is).

Best way I could explain it, Strid :P.

But fury druids can be more versatile in some situations than f/r.
You could:
Max dire wolves and use a grizzly bear with bramble armor on - and return crazy damage to melees that hit it.
Max werewolf and have more attack rating for hitting smiters and ww barbs.
invest more heavily in cyclone armor to take heat off in some duels
max grizzly bear and use enigma to telebomb uncatchable sorc/zons.
max two spirits for help vs melee
do something funny like maxing fissure and a synergy to unshift lock people instead of having two melee dependent skills.
have a maul/fury hybrid for super sexiness.

Max WW (not suggested for PvM)
Can I ask why that is? I was tentatively planning a fury wolf (non rabies) and had planned on maxing ww but I definately don't want to waste any skill points!!!

I believe its an AR issue. Usually in PvM anything over 10k AR is usually a waste and its easy for a wolf to get 10kar.

If you're telebombing with a druid that's pure Fury you're probably already dead.
The Bramble trick isn't all that great. The only people it works on are Smiters, BvCs, and other Druids. Smiters negate the return once KT triggers. Same with Barbs.
The Extra AR would be wasted unless you plan to duel a freakishly large amount of high def characters that 25k AR won't have the chance to hit.

~25k with highlords, that's 35% more fury damage while fury/rabies have that amount of AR with angelics. That's not wasted skill points if you ask me. I consider fury wolf better (not much better) for dueling melee then fury/rabies. I have both of them and that's my experience.
