Where have i gone wrong? PvP Javazon help please!

i made one of these to actually compete in pvp as they seemed kind of funky :smiley: however, every pubbie i've visited to get practice, i get leathered by everyone and i do an unbelievably small amount of damage!
the dueling strats dont really come into it, as i'm just nopt doing enough damage to kill someone.

my stats (with equip)
strength: 163 (base)
Dexterity: 203 (max block with ss)
Vitality: 466 (rest of my points)
Energy 55 (base)

Skills:
20 LF
20 CS
20 LB
14 LS
13 PS
1 into passive skills except valk, inner sight, decoy and slow missile.

i'm using
Griffons +15/-16 (no facet as of yet)
Cats eye
Eth titans (150///9) not upped yet
Stormshield
T-gods
Sandstorm treks
Chains of Honour
Rare gloves: 2java/20ias/7dex/
2xravens 20 dex/2XX AR
Anni
Torch
3xjava sks

i only end up with 1-6464 charged strike.
how can i improve and gets this 'zon to actually kill people?
what ias breakpoint should i aim for?
currently have 20 from cats eye
15 from jewel in storm
20 from gloves
have i made any mistakes?

Try using tstroke instead of titans, gives you ias and -light resis in exchange for stats and frw.

A rare belt with fhr/str/resis/life is better than tgods, and necessary to hit 86fhr

Try shadow dancers boots.


ur ias is fine, you need fhr and resists to survive longer in duels. Your damage is low because you only have 3gcs and a subpar griffons.

they could get 2x20 abs wisps, smiters and sword barbs could replace one with lightsaber, tgods, stacked resists etc. this all significantly cuts lightning damage so below 20k dmg you can most time do nearly nothin, thats the thing when you go to pubbies, and if you want to play some decent duel with some balance regulations - forget about using double ravens, especially against wind druids and cold sorcs. Besides remember dex isn't so crucial here as main source of damage is lightning not physical - I would put bul-kathos ring in other slot.
My comment above is actually mainly from experience on other chars than java itself.
Below is from bowazon experienc but I think it comes practical with java as well:

I think lack of the left P&M tree ruined all.
Slow Missiles can make wonders even with 1 pt, valk is a decent minion to deal with some hits like Bspirits, GAs, etc.
Next is dodge tree... I think every amazon should get (after +skills) 50% chance to avoid any atack in any stance.

As for built I will place my comments from pure analysis:
20 LB was not necesarry it is usually 1pt wonder as main advantage is that whole physical damage is lightning one and this is main source of it IMO
it was way better to max LS - in PvM it would be really nice.
It's just nearly impossible to make fully synergized pure lightning javazon.
This is of course possible in general way when you totally ignore P&M but w/o it going pure damage way is just not optimal.

As for duels... What I don't like is that ppl nowadays just are not worth duels for fun. IF u wanna be efficient one - you should have so many items for dueling different classes/subclasses it's just... not much fun for me at least.
Last said - lightning javazon I think is more of PvM use rather than PvP.

ummm have you ever played a pvp javazon?

LB is ur main skill in pvp. Cs is hard to pull of in most duels. Therefore you will be spamming lb not lf. LB is a one point wonder, but more points means more damage. Since LS is useless in pvp the points are well worth it in LB.

Passive tree looks fine. Slow missile and valks are okay, but most of the time its too tedious to recast and slow is considered bm in some cases. one point in passives with plus skill gives you enough. He currently has 8 plus skills giving him 46/54/46 d/e/a which is enough for all duels.

Javazons are wonderful pvp characters. In GM and BM pub duels they put up a fight against any class. Sorb is a problem, but in most pub cases sorb is not absolute and they often dont have the resis even with stack to negate all of your damage.

nope I didn't do it but the question seems funny reading afterwards some of my points were correct according to you, and as for PvP javazon I just heard many times a jabbazon>lightning javazon.
And I think nowadays talking about BM except of life pot drinking is just a joke.
(I am anti-BM since I first played duels in 1.09 but it seems BM things & rules were changed by some groups of... <censored>)

Javas will kill jabbas in seconds if the java has maxblock and decent dr. d/e/a + block is way too much for jabbas to handle.

well... your gear is good, I have basically the same setup, jus higher percents of stuff...

I'm pretty sure that the ias breakpoint for titans is at 53... so you should be hitting that break point now... one thing that I notice is that your fhr is probably really low, that is a must for javazons

My javazon does about 1-10400 cs dmg... so I assume once you get the rest of your gc's and get all your synergies up, it will be high as well..

and btw, tinncann, lb is definitly not a must on pvp javazons... I never use it on my java and I absolutely own in duels except against fire sorcs... thats the only class that owns me.

I wasn't talking particularly light javazon vs jabba but in general.
so if everythin is so ok you can tell me you will own say... anyone with high enough HP with 40% light absorb, 95% light resist (+stacked to negate -res from griffon and facets) and even this abs from tgod?
It is a question not so retoric but I don't think so. Then again... it is still all to how you look at BM side.
