ok, now I got un statted Lv 80 Assassin. Took me 5 Hours but it was worth it :laugh:

now only think I did so far was put 20 pts into venom and 1 pt into each shadow skills.

I was going to mkae LS based WW sin, but now that I cannot be bothred to repeat something like what I did today (heh) I want to make best possible char with this.

...its pain to get to 80 with so much latency prob I am facing.

Anyways ghost, basing on high lv mb,
or pure ww sin
or ww/trapper, focusing on both venom and trap?

my assumption is that ww/trapper is good all around but how good are ghost and ww/sin?
Are they effective enough to be played in PvP?

sounds like dumb question but all assasins I;ve seen in pubs so far was bad enogh to get killed by fury druids who had no frw or tele ability :rolleyes:
in fact, all I know is that they had chaos, due to their very long ww....

effectiveness of mara vs metalgrid

if I am going to prebuff, is mara any real use apart from nice stat bonus?
or does AR/def/res bonus means little?

I still have not set her up yet as I have very little time to do something like I did.
I always prfer making unstatted and if possible unskilled char, so I can see what I am doing with perf gear.
Trappers were real good in PvM, and sucked in PvP.
WWsins are supposed to be real good in PvP with good practice, but sucks in PvM.
So I was wonderig effectiveness of all around character that is ww/trapper.

Once I make a char..I usually mf/duel with one char only :p

WW/Trapper is a really good PvPer if you play it right, for PvM its entirely suitable with an infinity merc. Its a bad MFer though, due to the damage loss from using MF gear (A WW/Trapper gets a lot of trap damage from her claws). The point of the traps on a WW/Trapper is to compensate for certain PvP opponents, not to make it PvM viable btw.

Maras >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Metalgrid. +skills matter, the +2 = 200 venom damage and 650+ trap damage, not to mention 2% DR, possibly 1% claw block and a better shadow, mind blast etc. +skills really help a hybridsin.

have a read of the ww/trapper guide stickied at the top of this forum if you havn't already.

from the sounds your making, i see CoA & Mara's, which will make hitting the 65%fcr breakpoint kinda kooky. if not downright impossible.

I would recommend a 2sin/20fcr circlet of some kind, much cheaper, at least on West, and more effective in my opinion.

thinking about all the top hybrid'sins on west ladder at the moment, i'm not sure any of them use a CoA.

CoA kind of requires a 15%+ fcr amulet and an FCR ring which ties up a lot of gear slots. it's also got a nasty strength requirement on it. be careful of stat-glitching one on too heavily, you may need to click your corpse a couple of times to pick it back up which can be a Very Bad Thing(tm) in a pubby duelling game full of nk'ing, bo-ganking, hacking noobs. the kind of game i can assure you you will encounter sooner or later, you might wind up with two corpses. one with your CoA and one with everything else. your really going to want to get those bods before leaving the game.

just my opinion.
