Like the title says, I wonder if someone would be interested in making a character to mp with me on battle.net tomorrow? (or technically later today, since it's 01:01 in the moring here atm.)
Just wanted to pay the nub realms a visit(even if the rumour says it's even laggier compared to when I left last time), and then I prefer to do it with some fellow sp'ers :grin: to partially avoid all the realm's eveil nubiness and haxxorness

I had a 90 nova sorc on europe (6 accounts hacked).. and the guy who hacked them was from.... USA! Apparently quite near where I live, too. That's one of the many reasons I stick to SP for the most part. Also I hear blizzard doesn't really care about battle.net anymore. I might be tempted to join if there was going to be a group of people playing generally self found, but not having /players is annoying =).

Someone should set up a table listing the various areas people are willing to play so we could see just how many people we would have. From the looks of it we'd have two groups, one Europe and the other on US East. I'd do it myself but I don't really know how.

I think I'm gonna check out bnet again too. Last time ladder reset I tried it out again and made one pat then got fed up and went back to SP. It's sad cause patting a char on bnet only takes several hours, even right after reset since I've learned to play without enigma and hoto and anni and hellfire. Shocking, I know... Anyhow, here's a table with forum names and either east or europe. Personally I don't care as my internet connection will be good enough to handle either for the short span of time I'll be playing

edit: also, when we all manage to log on, we should make a chat channel and decide characters, because 5 blizz sorcs and 3 hammerdins will make me question if I'm playing with SPForumers or bnetters.

I made myself an account on US West yesterday and have permed two characters on it so far. God only knows how though because the lag and frequently ocurring game freezes/crashes are atrocious. I've been playing around with my Summoner there for five hours off and on, leaving him in-game and playing some. He still isn't permed. :shocked: I'm hoping to get them all permed begore I go to the hospital in the morning, so I'll have something to play around with when I'm up and running around again. :wink3:

It'll be for NL to hang out with my friends but they're trying to organize an untwinked group for Ladder play when everyone gets back from their vacations etc. Should be a lot of fun, similar to the tourney we had last Summer. Only this time we're going all the way from Normal to Hell. :thumbsup:

Just so ya know, I am *OneFromBeyond on East, and I'll be playing a Singer/Zerker right from the get go. The only items that I need are 2 Spirit Swords and an Insight, and those I will have after running the Countess in NM a few times. OT: My brother is getting married next Saturday and I am the best man, so I won't be able to go full into D2 until after that

Your last part is correct, they're resetting the ladder. Check the community forum but I think there isn't too much time left until it's up.

Great game tonight Skoolbus! Skoolbus was playing a Zealer, I was playing a Barbarian and my brother had a Sorc, and we made it all the way to level 18 (when I stopped I was #193 on the Barbarian ladder). Battle.net may be alright when you know the people you are playing with. If anyone else wants to join, it looks like it will be in the evenings.

Sounds cool grogs, I have started playing D2 again but didnt get straight into bnet so am now too involved in my other 'projects' that were left WIP when i took a break..
however i do still hold the goal of taking on the ubers eventually
(read: perhaps after i mat/pat about 3-4 characters at least in 1.11 (one close at 83 (frenzier), one 54 (fury), one 42 (booyaka), one 20(nova)) and one in 1.07 (sorc on lvl 18 act3 norm atm))

The first 9 or 10 hours after the reset were great, and for the first few days it wasn't bad, though I wasn't going for 99. I still might carry on playing, but it won't be as much as I did or the first 4 days.

I've really had to push myself to do this. It's been more of a chore to me than fun, honestly. I'm doing solo Baal runs in normal right now, currently level 36. I've not found any decent pub games up to this point, no reason to think that'll change anytime soon. :rolleyes: Hopefully things will pick up in NM.

been playing a little bit over the summer, will play less during school. everything I use is self-found. I can prove this by the callus developing on my wrist where it meets the desk :|

Thx for the offer Bob. Ive been playing on BNet for the last 2 days. Got my sorc to clvl 78. Traded some nice gear (Magefists, Lidless, Wizspike) for my NM HF drop, Lem. But to honest, Bnet is not my thing. People can be rude and inconsiderate. One guy kept swearing at me for picking up mana pots in the Throne Room. He said they were his. (I didn't see his name on them .. lol) Thank goodness for Single Player. I'll leave my sorc there for awhile I think.

Zarfen?! :D do u play? I might be interested in playing abit, just to see what my auradin can do with a a grief stick, and a zaka shield, as I had a regular zealot for it at first, but got bored of it and wanted an elemental dmg zealer. The good part is that auradins are pretty good against everything, the bad part, well.... leeching is difficult without also dying to IM. Using "rift" war scepter atm =)

There's a ladder reset at June 17th with everyone starting from scratch if you want to give it (another?) go. I have no idea if a patch follows or if there's a realm-only patch fixing the current dupemethods, bots, maphack and what have we. It wasn't the case at the reset last summer (Took roughly 36 hours before I saw the first dupes)

I really like the first couple of days after a reset, but I can never keep myself motivated. I think I'll give this one a miss unless there's a new patch, which I find unlikely.

I've just recently started playing ladder on USWest (the default for Oz), but I'm happy to start characters on any Realm. I always use the same account name, *nswhorse (my nickname's "Horse", and I come from the state of New South Wales, or NSW, in Australia).

I got the itch to start over untwinked, but I don't feel like farming nm meph to aquire my basics. I also have a long time itch to try on ubers and play with some high end gear, so I though I'd check out battle.net again!
Last time I attepmted to get this going I failed miserably... Shortly after I got my sorceress going the ladder was about to reset, and I didn't feel like going NL or start over from scratch again when I joined b.net just a short time earlier with nothing!

So here we go again:

I play EuScL on the account zarfen (so the lsit is still accurate for my part). I play a fishymancer, currently crawling trough act 5 normal.
If anyone of you still play on the realms, I'd love to if you'd said hi sometime and maybe joined me in some questing and whatnot. The average realm players are already wearing on my nerves. I even find myself dragged down towards their level sometimes, and feel an urge to skip all unnecessary words and just use nouns and verbs.

If you're on ladder I've got some very bad starter gear for a sorc still, mainly just things like a spirit sword, stealth and lore. If you're on NL I've got some decent stuff I don't use any more.
