View Full Version : Mana Potting Neccesary?
So I've started to duel with my sin, have a blast doing so, but I always go out of mana before any good opponents dead, and me being how I am, I generally refuse to pot. Is this just silly? Do people actually mana pot during duels now to keep up? Post BO I'm at 444 manaish and I guess my pride gets in the way but is it considered 'fair' to mana pot these days or still not? I'm used to old school playing and I've always tried to be a manner dueler.

Nearly everyone uses Mana pots, there's no problem with doing so.
I use pots on every char expect my ES sorc ( she doesn't need to. And if she ever does > she's dead.

Yea, if people didn't pot besides sorcs/pallys everyone would have to use normal attack all the time.

Pretty much any time you see a Windy, Bonenec, multi-spamming bower, desync hammerdin, wwsin, trapper or bvc they are mana potting like crazy in an intense duel. Today's cookiecutter builds rely on pots, I generally burn 16 mana pots per 3 minutes against a hammerdin or necro.

hmm, maybe I shouldn't be that prudent with my lvl 15 psychic hammer-sin, I've generally refused to use potions in duels, even in pubs. (meaning the duel gets very long as the char is a regenbuild with high def/block and a full mana spam deals 200 pvp dmg at most.) With pots though, heh then people would have somedthing real to whine about while being pushed back to the cold plains.
