View Full Version : ghost..?
mystified

I am searching the forum for this unfamiliar term and this left me completely confused.
When mentioned earlier in some of threads, I expected it to be some sort of hybrid ww/trpper variant.
...whilst searching I found it isn't.
But it is not clear as to whatever ghost is.
My very rough understanding is that its a build relies heavily on shadow skills...
but how does that exactly work with some of *** builds? (I've seen reference to ghost trapper, ghost ww, ww/trp, kicker etc, etc.)
Am I getting this wrong or what?
Can someone please explain? Thank you in advance~

Or look at the sticky.
well the built 'ghost' itself is usually considered a wwsin build that uses fade and the mobility of enigma together with 65%fcr and lvl1 wof and ls for stunning purposes.
its based on venom damage and mindblast and stun.
'ghost-trapper' usually means a fade c/c trapper
in general ghost-xxx is used for an assassin that uses fade and thus looks transparent ''like a ghost''

Yep, it's the faded out look with a decent tele that gives it the ghost name. Not exclusive to WW, there are ghost kickers, ghost trappers, hybrids, etc.

It kinda depends on where you are. The Ghost name first appeared mainstream in Koda's WWsin guide as far as I know. That guide was the first that advocated enigma on a WWsin, and it basically set the template for the build that's been expanded on over time. So in the classical sense, a Ghost is what CapnSparrow described. Now we have physical Ghosts and DOT (Damage over time) Ghosts with different gear setups. A lot of people also refer to WW/Trappers as ghosts, though most people here call them "hybrids" and reserve "ghost" for the 1 point trap, max mb wwsin. There are also "ghost style" kickers and trappers, but this is more of a gear setup than a subclass.
Hmm. I always assumed that ghosts were assassins that used cloak to hold monsters in place while they used traps to eliminate them as they stand there blinded.

I think there's a PvM assassin guide that has something similar that. The maker of that guide called it a Ghost.
But in general, the PvP Ghost isn't a build that does trapping for damage.
