Ok i'm at level 80 with 16 skill points left, and will have more soon. I have the following skills maxed.
Strafe
Penetrate
Valk
1 in each of prereqs.
Where should i spread the rest of my points?
I was thinking like 4 in critical strike, 4 in multi, maybe a few in d/a/e? or synergise the valk a bit? Any help is appreciated.

i'd suggest to put them all into lightning fury, it's very effective for pvm, even if the damage appears low.

How many +skills you got?
1. If you are using Razortail(which you should when strafeing), go for lvl 9 pierce after + skills.
2. 1pt in Freezing Arrow is also a good choice.
3. Critical Strike to lvl 16 after +skills, if you dont have much Deadly Strike
4. Multishot to lvl10 minimum after +skills

I agree with KremBanan. Go with the pierce + razortail.

I also LIke to buff up the Valk with points in D/A/E and Decoy.

Buffing up the Valkyrie with pts in DEA and Decoy would be nr.5 priority for me. Because with maxed Valk, with some ekstra +skills, is strong enough for almost anything.

It's the 'Almost' in 'Almost anything' that prompts me to buff the Valk.

Because I always seem to run into entire groups made up of 'almosts' regularly. Like Hell Ancients. Or like 30 conviction aura enchanted Gloams (cheaters).

But I do agree that pumping Critical Strike a bit and a point in FA is important.

When I said almost anything, I meant anything but Andariel  She is the only monster that I have met, that have caused a problem for me. If any other packs of monsters are killing my Valk, I just recast her and by the time they kill here for the second time, they are all dead

Pierce to have 100% arrows "piercing", Valk to 27, then look at having Critical strike to around 67%, lastly Decoy for your Valk to survive longer and your decoy to "decoy" longer.

Stronger Valk/Decoy lets you respond/reposition for fast packs, champions backed up by PI immune Witches that have amp'ed you. Your won't have alot of time to recast anything, before running. More likely you will want your merc holding that Pride polearm alive alot longer so you can kill what you see. If you are not using Atma's Scarab, then look at this even more closely....your killing speed is slow without it, you need your front line to live longer.

Thanks for all the helpful ideas!

I think i'm going to look into getting a razortail..using nos coil now (kinda like the total of 14%ll tho) ALso going to put a few points in to get freezing arrow and then pump critical strike and decoy.

I'm kinda in the same situation... NosCoil has so many useful mods... I've currently gotten Pierce up to around 80% after items though, so I may just continue using it until I rebuild the zon. Freezing arrow is a bit of a 1-hit wonder. In Baal runs you'll freeze Lister's pack to make things much safer for the meleers in your group, for example. (Or safer for your merc/valk if you're soloing).

Since maxing Penetrate and Strafe I don't really bother with Guided Arrow anymore. LCS shows 80% to hit hell Baal, so I figure the extra speed will make up for the 15% to hit and decreased damage. Since I'm using a 9/2 Strafe with no real interest in speeding up the 9, guided shoots quite a bit more slowly than Strafe.

On the other hand, if you're using an ITD bow like Ice or Faith, and you remember to switch to Guided for champs and bosses, you don't really need any AR/Penetrate at all. Use strafe/multi to thin the pack, then Guided kills off the Bosses. Sometimes I'm too lazy to switch to Guided though, so I chose to up Penetrate instead. In my next build I may very well place those points into Guided for faster boss killing.

D/A/E are certainly worth one point each, at least. It seems I have more trouble with ranged attacks, so I might spend some more in Avoid than Dodge/Evade.
