That cartoon was one of the few "cartoon cartoon" cartoons that was any good that came out of the 90's. Rockos modern life was good to.

I haven't wached Tv in a long time(only bits of tv shows). I used to wach the lastes movies on PC but now i don't even do that. Somehow i managed to see 300 last week(kickass movie) but that's it. I have casino royal, blood diamond and other such on my laptop for some time now but....

The damn job takes too much of my time. What i have left i split betwin family and diablo. We are the work&computer generation.

haven't been on a mountain trip in ... ages:sad:... i miss that but i'm to tired or if i'm not i am too lasy

I saw 300 some days ago and it wasn't really that impressive.
Sure the fights were cool but that's about it.
The cgi was easy to see.

Historically inaccurate? The movie is based on the comic book by frank miller and not the event itself. As for the poor character development, I've seen this arguement used by a couple of critics,albeit :
a) the "time span" of the movie is only a few days long.
b)we are talking about a military unit going on a campaign, what did they expect,see the hoplites socialize/flirt/exhibit their emotional world? The chars were nicely developed.
The fight scenes weren't realistic indeed. But so it was in the matrix case, since the point in those movies was to take the action film genre a step forward. Both movies were succesful in this. Once again ,this wasn't a documentary on ancient warfare,just an action movie based on a comic book which was loosely based on an 1960's movie which was based on the historical facts...Surprisingly ,the basic guidelines weren't inaccurate at all,it is just the whole "LOTR" atmosphere that some people disliked. Heh, the movie even has a smeagol (ephialtes).

I liked the movie a lot. What I didn't like was the hollywood cliche chit chat ("We are Free men fighting for justice"/daddy warrior goes ballistic when his son is killed etc). And of course the revival of a feud dead for about fifteen centuries (Greece v Persia) is rather silly,although I had seen that coming.

Even with the way some people criticize that movie, I still want to see it. It may be based off a comic book or whatever, but it seems interesting enough to watch it at least once. :grin: Hmm, I wonder when it will be included on that link. :scratch:

Because it comes out that date in Switzerland. That doesn't mean that it wasn't played anywhere else. Anyway I'm not going to watch it over stream or anything like that in bad quality. It's an epic movies so I'm going to watch it in the cinema with a huge screen :grin:

We did yesterday, but we shouldn't. If someone just taught the coach that just because someone scores like hell in the italian league, it doesn't mean he is a god on the field when it comes to playing with the national team versus Northern Ireland. Just look at Healy, who is he? Nobody knows even where he plays. (I assume somewhere on the British islands...) Still he's scored the most in the EC Qualifying stages, by far. Bah.

hey all! how is everyone? time for my first ever rant....
NEVER EAT BAKEWELL TARTS FROM NETTO IN CHORLTON! second time i've eaten them, second time i've spent a day throwing up.
I am really annoyed with Woolworths....i order a mountain bike from them over 2 weeks ago, 3 days later they deliver a faulty one, so i phone up and they say they will pick it up, then i must phone to set another delivery date (ofc they cant bring a new one while taking the old one away). Then, while i'm out, the sodding delivery men refuse to take the bike away as it is out of it's box! i spent nearly 2 soddin hours building it to find out it was faulty and they want me to disassemble it? :banghead:
so....i set another pick up date which they do, (its now over a week since order time) and then i have to set a delivery date...4 days later nothing has arrived, so i phone up again, kind of annoyed and they say "sorry, it seems the delivery has been placed but not processed, we will process it now and it should arrive in 7-10 days" i lost it at this point, and i get passed from person to person, as i demand to see first the supervisor, then the supervisors manager, then the manager's boss.
He says he will deliver either friday or monday, and to phone him again once it is delivered to discuss a "goodwill gesture"-most likely woolies vouchers, so not a too bad ending....but the idea of this naffin bike was so i could ride to school as now i've hit 16, the bus fares have gone up loads!
Another thing that has got up my nose (hope i'mm not going to run out of words....)
My rugby club, Broughton Park, we were in the semi-final of the Lancashire cup. half time we were down 12-7 but still in the game, as it was a lucky try, and we were dominating their forward pack.
They kick off second half, i catch the ball, and the forwards start to do consecutive rooks, just picking up and driving. We get to their 5 metre line, and i get knocked out when a maul collapses on me. I walk off the pitch after afew minutes.:dizzy: Then play resumes, and i see Kemar (second Row) lose his temper after a bit of name calling and start punching ten bells out of this lad, just as we score. try dissallowed because of it, and they get a penalty...all our hard work for naff all...
near the end of the half, i'm back on (i know, dangerous, but they needed me back) and we employ the same pick up and drive tactic that worked the first time. We again, are on their 5 metre line and instead of another forward picking it up, the scrum half picks it up and passes out to our backs, who are not in the same league as our forward pack, and sure enough, one of them knock it on and they run the length of the field and score.
What really bugged me was in the changing room...
everyone is gutted we lost, but then i hear people start laughing and joking about Kemar beating up that lad saying "it was mint" HE LOST US THE BLOODY GAME!!! HOW IS THAT SOMETHING TO BE CELEBRATED?
and then the scrum half starts blaming the forwards for not passing out to the backs, when i think they prooved why in the last 5 minutes...
no one felt responsible for the team. they just lacked a team mentality and that's something i just can't abide by.:censored:
i think that's the end of my reant...sorry for the rugby talk, but it did annoy me.

i am annoyed at the amount of new people entering the forums! sounds nepotistic, but half of them are the bnet scum we are trying to avoid by joining with their nooob!!!!!!!!! etc...
