Need Light Sorc help

I am making a light sorc and im not 100% on what to max and in what order to max it. It's a pvm/rusher/mf'er light sorc.
This what I think im doing skill wise.

1 - Warmth
1 - Static
1 - Telekinisis
1 - Tele
20 - Charged Bolt
20 - Lightning
20 - CL
20 - Light mastery
Rest in nova?

Im not sure if i should get ts frozen armor or ES. I need help :sad2:

Hey there

Id say put 1pt in frozen armor and 1pt TS. Id skip energy shield for pvm, i hate teleporting into a group of mobs and get hit once and boom all my mana is gone.. Heheh. But i guess thats a question of personal taste. :cool:

that looks pretty nice, i'd max in this order. Lightning, Mastery, Charged Bolt, Chain and Nova, change the order of chain and nova if you ever decide to use it for pvp.

I'd max Chain Lit and Lightning first, with a single point in Lit Mastery. Then probably use a skill calc to work out which provides more damage - Charged Bolt or Lit Mastery points. Then it's on to Nova afterwards. Definately get those 1 point wonders. I found myself using CL a lot more than Lightning on packs of monsters on my old CL/Orb Sorc, even though normal Lightning did more damage on the LCS. CL did more damage to whole packs because of the multiple hits.

im in the process of the same build, i been maxin CL first, and it seems to be fine, though i did start doing CB first, but CL at hummmm i think like 11 possibly.. cant remeber but i was able to solo slowly but norm cows, wasnt my intention some guy came in made cows, left came with a new char then complained about killing king, when he made with a diffrent char... hate that.... but then he left so did everyone else, but i did it, then i solo'ed mephy and diablo so i like CL odds.... :) just my 0.02

What about immunities in hell? You'll be running away from 1/3 of the monsters, unless you plan to have a good merc and be very patient, or group a lot.

I'm a bit of a noob, so I'm not saying it can't be done - I'm legitimately asking, because I would love to do a pure light build for kicks.

Turmoil 1/3 of the monsters in hell are not lightning immune, there are poison and physical too so i think its more like 28% lightning immune
And, one of the first things i learned about mercs, and the best to use for a sorc was infinity merc so i think you should do some research, it would help you alot

Thanks Hawk. Unfortunately an Infinity is a pretty hard thing to make - finding/cubing 2 ber runes plus a 4 socket pole arm is not something one does overnight. Unless you want trade for duped runes which I'm not that crazy about. But yes, if I could get an infinity merc someday I could see how he would kick ***.

Chances are the the rune you cube will be duped also because this makes a hell lot of Mid runes to cube.

Not saying it can't be done but just logically people will get duped rune to make it or trade one already made.

No, I don't cube runes to get to ber, that's my point - unless you want to use duped runes most people will never have a legit Infinity. Some people don't care if their runes are duped. I happen to like playing the game legit, so I'm just saying that Infinity for my merc isn't a realistic solution.
