You cannot unlearn skills once you've invested into them.

That is considered a hack and a cheat on the SPF. You cannot trade or MP if you use that mod. Pimping it here is against the rules.

I wouldn't call that a hack or a cheat, nor do I think SPF people would actually call it that. Let's just leave it at "unsupported/uncondoned mod".

Go to your class trainer and select the "unlearn talents" option.

Oh wait, that's WoW. :badteeth:

"Q. So, what are you saying? Can I use them or not?

A. The stance on the SPF is that you are allowed to do whatever you want on your own computer, provided it doesn't affect anybody else. Thus, feel free to mod, change settings, use character editors to your heart's content. However:

-open discussion on the use of third party programs that create an advantage (cheats, hacks or editors) will not be permitted, as per forum rules."

"Q. So I can use program XXXX to make my character an unkillable god?

A. Yes, go ahead. Just don't expect to be able to trade what that character finds, play in MP games with people from the SPF, or join the ladders.

Q. Where can I find a character/item editor?

A. We can't discuss that here due to forum rules; try a search on Google."

From here (http://forums.diabloii.net/showpost.php?p=1519560&postcount=1).

and

"5. Thou Shalt Not Pimp or aid the Pimping of hacks, Cheats or Farming.
Hacks and Cheats are 3rd party programs that allow you to alter the way a player interacts with a game. This includes, but not restricted to Maphack and Pindlebot. We do not support the use of these. You may not ask for help in creating a hack/cheat, a link to where you can find one, provide a link to where people can download one. However, the morality of using these programs is sometimes discussed and we allow these [within reason], unless it violates any other rule. Advertising gold/item farming and any sale of in-game items for real world currency is strictly forbidden. Linking to these services and their affiliates is also prohibited. In the trading forums we do not allow people using trade hacks or Pindlebot and then peddling their wares on the forums. If using the trading forums you should make sure you are familiar with the Terms and Conditions of our Auction Site as they apply to the forums also."

from here (http://forums.diabloii.net/rules).

Actually, I think you'll find we do think they are hacks and cheats and refer to them that way in the SPF. Yes you can do what you want on your own machine but you cannot trade/MP with those characters using mods or use/trade items found with characters who have used the mod.

Well, if that ones is a hack, I can say so is Eastern Sun or HU (bosses gives lots of unique drops......, though they are difficult as hell to kill). It's just that Eastern Sun is a "supported" hack. The difference between PlugY and say drop mod is, PlugY itself was not intended to ease the game, while drop mods (obviously) does.
Yes you can do what you want on your own machine but you cannot trade/MP with those characters using mods or use/trade items found with characters who have used the mod. That much is obvious. If it is unsupported......, of course they are not allowed to MP or trade.

Truth be told, anything other than vanilla can be called a hack, since it modify how the game works, but let's not get there.

PlugY is considered a hack as it contains a character editor and therefore it not "just" a mod like Eastern Sun or HU.

Not that I remembered it. Though I do see a thing or 2 which allows you to get more/less skill/stat points than usual in the config files. About the only thing I use for that mod is to spawn the ubers, if you consider that a hack.

Seriously, it maybe considered a hack at the SPF here, but other places might consider the opposite (things like Eastern Sun is a hack and PlugY not). Because there is no definite standard, and it is not intentionally designed to make your characters godly, I use the term unsupported mod, and I think that is a very just term.

How? Obviously, it's your fault and wasted a skill point. Rebuild.

Go pick up a copy of Titan Quest - your char can pay a fee to unlearn skills you've invested in and place the points elsewhere. Very handy indeed.
