im making a straff zon right now and i was curious if i should start getting gear with TONS of plus to skills or TONS of enhanced damage? which kind of gear should i have to get the best damage possible? thanks a lot!

strafer ey? powerfull skill. strafer demolishes any kinds of monsters like hot knife through butter. i can just tell u man that u need TONS of damage. only elemental builds need as much +skillz.

strafe would be a great skill if u could strafe 4 as long as u keep your mouse button pressed though...

You should try to get enough ias then dmg. +skill helps very little to starfe

You'll actually want tons of enhanced damage along with tons of ias. 'zons such as strafers are about dealing incremental (albeit substantial when gear up properly) damage quickly. I'm no Zon expert, but from my own experience I can say that you should be looking for (In order of need):

1. IAS: the faster you can attack the more damage in a given time period you lay down.
2. Damage: From any source (physical mostly if you're leeching health and mana). Elemental will help when you when you get to Hell level and everything is immune to something.
3. Knockback: Self explanitory

+skills are nice and all, but really- Strafers don't benefit too much from them. There are other attributes you should be looking for from your gear- like resists, increased run/walk speed, Leech, Enhanced Damage, etc.
