Can I join nightmare games if im still only at normal?

No you can not. You need to defeat baal in normal difficulty to join nightmare games.

Just to note, if you defeat Baal in Normal, you won't be able to "see" Normal games anymore, only NM games.

Yep, If you are on the normal dufficulty you cant enter the nightmare difficulty unless you kill baal.. The problem is if you kill baal and are on the nightmare difficulty you cant join games on normal any more.. You can make games on the normal and nightmare difficulty, but not join them from the list..
