perfect up'd 40/15'd buriza vs 40/15 windy

hey, I recently found a 200% perfect ed buriza and i was thinking about up'ing it and putting a 40/15 in it to pvm with.

would the buriza do more dmg than the windy as far as dmg per frame goes? What's the ias I need to hit a good fpa with both? (merc has faith, lvl 19 total with andy's)

eh I'm starting to criticize some of that guy's methods.

First off he stated that only 10% ias is used on his char. What's different is that with +% ed and more ias complicates things.

Also, he states that a crusador botd beats a shael'd windy and buriza but what about if the windy and buriza are 40/15'd? Botd can't get sockets, and that extra 40% might really make a difference. Also, he never stated what % the botd is, the chances are pretty high to make a 400% botd crusador.

Ah here we go. Rolling a perfect botd is pretty tough, buriza can also be put in that category. As far as consistency goes wf beats both of the above because the only variable is the 6-8% mana leach.

ALSO, he doesn't take into account merc's faith aura, which a lot of pro pvm zons use to gain a better dmg % than faith.

Edit: I think i'm going to do some testing of my own and see which does more dmg, windy or buriza with a faith merc. They both have a base ias of 10 so they should both hit the same fpa, correct?

First, that thread was created before the existance of faith.

Second, xbows are a lot slower than bows. For example, you can't get to 2 frame strafe with a buriza.

Finally, the table is much, much bigger than you think. Scroll right. It goes to like 145 off weapon IAS. My guess is that it was created by either an excel spread sheet or a program.

This is wrong. Your merc only has a slvl 15 Fanaticism. It's not boosted by +skill items. None of the aura-granting item's auras are increased by +skills.

Indeed. If fana could be increased by +skills it would read "+x to fanaticism"

WF+Faith > Buriza+Faith, at least in my opinion.

Crossbows' max speed is lower than bows, so you cannot hope to compete with the speed a WF zon will put her arrows in the air; the crossbow will always be slower. The upped Buriza has huge STR requirements (160+?) which will pretty much erase the +35 Dexterity bonus it gives.

More hitting means more Criticals, more Amplify triggers, pierces, etc. Not to mention the mobility you gain with the bow (when shoot - run tactics are needed).

if ladder restarts, hell yes, i'll be using harmony/buriza for a long long time
ohm and jah aren't easy to find
but no... given a choice, i wouldn't touch a crossbow because of the speed cap

163 strength for colossus crossbow which is waaay too much for a bow amazon. and as lots of people mentioned above crossbows can never compete with bows when it comes to speed.
