Amazon weapons?

Just wondering what weapon an bow/crossbow using amazon uses these days? Are buriza of any use at all? What other bow/crossbow is useful for an amazon?

Buriza is still used but it's seriously outclassed by other bows.
In general the most used bows are faith, windforce, witchwild string and ice in certain cases.

And Witchwild String is horribly overrated IMHO. It is sure a good bow, can beat the game, but does not compare to Faith or WF.

Saw a post of all important Amazon bows compared in dmg. output.
(of course I can't remember where I found it).

An upped and Shael'd buriza is only beaten by a Shael'd Windforce or BotD Crusader Bow (at least in the environment of the testing).

Thus if dmg. is a determining factor, Buriza is still competitive.

there's a couple bow comparisons in the sticky i think you're thinking of the pure damage output one (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=145812). it's pretty outdated but it has a lot of useful info burried in the posts so read all the posts in the thread. wmeredith has a good one too (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=495941) for the basic run though of what's what. both are great reads though the damage output one makes my eyes glaze over when it gets into the numbers.

I agree!
And there are a lot of contradictions and difference of opinions.

But the Buriza can easily get you past hell Baal in a single player game.
(I actually used it as I started from scratch and found it along the way).

I wouldn't call it overrated in the game, how many people do you ever see using it? Sure it does get talked about a hell of a lot here and for damage output it can't compare with a faith, wf or buriza but it's still a very, very good bow.

Good thing about the WWS is that you can customize it to your needs. usually 2 shaels for a very fast bow, also the amp ctc is gfg for a strafer.
