Ive played about 7 diff sirc builds so far, and I finally decided to make my fav elem sorc for MFing NM Andy/Meph/Baal and Hell Andy/Meph/Baal.

My idea is making a pure cold tree sorc:

Ice Bolt 20
Ice Blast 20
Blizzard 20
Frozen Orb 20
Cold Mastery 10~(depending on gear, going for 17-20 after +skillers)
1 Frozen Armor (helps tping)
1 in TP/SF
1 in preqs

This gives a pretty good base damage to blizz and orb, even with +0 to skills.

My idea is running Act Bosses, as this is my fav form of MFing, and secondly going Pindle/Nith (hopefully hes not CI) occasionally, and doing Pits. I was thinking of simply TPing past CIs in the Pit and killing the rest, as to not bother with them and having my merc kill them.

I chose to get FO to 20 instead of a Blizz synergy because of FOs versatility. Its good for clearing out rooms and killing things around corners, while blizzard is better at killing mobs in plain sight and close together.

Don't have any specific end-game gear, so Ill be using hap-hazard stuff like 3/5 Tals and random PTopazed Helm/Armor for MFing. Don't have infinity either, so Light sorc is out =/

Any comments on this build?

Why?
Might as well just go FO/ES

I decided to remove some damage from blizz to add FO as a room-clearer, and to boost Ice Blast damage, so I can hit much harder while blizz is going.

With this set up, I got 3 attacks

Blizz for tight groups
FO to clear rooms with spaced apart mobs
Ice Blast to kill single monsters (1.6k damage with +0 skills is pretty good for a spammable skill. Add in CM and +xx% cold damage and 3k is possible with +skillers)

But nothing against Cold imunes.
If you go with a single element sorc, just use either orb or blizz. Not both.
Both skills is powerfull enough to kill everything thats not cold imune very fast.

I tried that once, it doesn't work. You get a great Orb, an average Blizzard, but both are timered spells and you'll be using Orb more often because it does more damage. Best to go with a second element. In that case, Orb still wins in terms of skill point investment/power.
