just a thread to say i've finally collected all those dang facets to make that shield (btw all facets where traded on these forums) 3 dies and 1 lvl

Congrats. Turning up perfect facets is never easy. I was looking to make a poison monarch for quite some time - and those are less in demand than lights I'd imagine. Is this going to be used on a pvm or pvp javazon?

Its a pvp javazon, i plan to use them against non elemental/melee types like hammerdims, bowazons and windys. Just curious, with all the poison damage you deal (probably 60k), does the poison monarch help?

That should make for some nice damage that'll be a bit harder to 'sorb too. Actually that particular monarch has been used on several rabies hybrid druids. With that and a dweb on switch, there isn't much that can survive being bitten. Though I'm sure it could be put to good use on a poison java, hmmm. :scratch:

Did you make the 20-20 in a jmod or a normal monarch?

with poison zons i believe %damage is better than +skills (ie trang over 3jav gloves) because more skills add to duration as well as damage so the facets add damage but not duration. this ofc is aside from the killer -res aspect which makes them that much better, imo. /ot

gj on the facets :thumbsup: i just traded for an already made 3facet jtod myself. i prefer the lower str req.

Sorry for the OT here but felt i should reply to this.
You'll find that you get a huge amount more damage from +skills than you do with +x% poison increase gear, atleast untill your skills hit a very high level. For my java that used anni, torch, CoH, +1 skills ammu, +2 skills circ etc i got more damage using +3 java gloves than i did with trangs gloves, of course this changes if you use skillers. The -res helps a lot but i'm not sure how much it adds compared to just standard + skills.
