I've been having a blast with my "Brand" spamazon/strafer as of late and have thought of moving on to a witchizon-lightning fury hybrid after turning up some Titan's and a Razortail. This gal would be mainly for running pits and cows for socketables and the like. Here's what I've been thinking skill and gear wise, feedback would be most appreciated.

the gear:
Upped WWS with a shael + ed/ias jewel - 35 ias, ctc amp, resists, and style :soapbox:
non-upped, non-eth Titan's on switch - +4 total javelin skills, cheap to repair
"Spirit" for the jav switch? - + skills
"Fortitude" dusk shroud - for the resists and huge ed
Giant Skull - hopefully with 30 ias from two jewels, kb never hurts either
Highlord's - 20 ias, + skill, deadly strike all the time with the WWS
Ravenfrost - cbf
Manaldheal - mana leech, could always look for a rare
Razortail - pierce pierce pierce
Magic 2 jav, 20 ias - just shopped, just trying to squeeze out some plus jav skills
War Traveler's? - added strafe damage, might Gores be worth looking into for the cb and ow, since this isn't a faithazon with tons of ed right on the bow?

the skills:
max strafe
max lightning fury
bunch into penetrate for the ar
nine with gear into pierce
rest into d/e/a and valk?

this leaves me with: 100% pierce on both switches, 100% ds on the WWS, slightly more resists than the average bowazon, exactly 105 ias which will hit the 8/2 bp for the WWS, + 9 jav skills on that switch (not counting a torch if I come by one)

Would maxing charged strike and thus adding synergies to lf be worth thinking about or is the plus skills bump what really helps damage? Will having only one synergy for cs make it less than effective? Might some sort of faceted shield be worth thinking about (maybe Headhunter's)? I'm also assuming an act 2 might merc will add more damage than say an act 1 rough carrying a "faith," right? Thanks for giving this a read.

your gear is more bow based so what are you planning on doing? when a group of monsters comes up on you are you going to strafe them or fury them? i know it'll depend on if it's light immune or whatnot. if you want a boss killer cs is your skill.

i usually run around with titans up for a couple reasons:
1) fury is done in a short period of time so if i accdently fury a bunch of light immunes then it's done and i can switch real quick and strafe. if i accidently strafe a bunch of phys immunes* then i'm stuck.
2) fury with enough damage will kill faster (kills per second wise) than strafe or multi

what kind of charms you going to use? are you going to use any jav gcs or focus more on phys or go with mf/, res, psn.

*note: you dont really need a phys immue killer though since you have ctc amp so i guess what i'm asking really is why do you need javs? if you just put points in fury and cs and strictly use cs only as a boss killer i think you'll do fine but i dont know why really you're needing the javs otherwise.

ps. sorry if i'm not making sense i'm not all here atm.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking that javs would be primarily for cowing, and the bow setup would be for searching the pits for socketables - so I'd really be opertating in two modes depending which area I'd be running. The switches weren't really mean to take out immunes so much.

From the sounds of it I'd be able to get by without cs unless I plan on running chaos, in which it'd be needed as a boss dropping skill. At the moment I have some res and max charms - though I'd imagine some jav skillers wouldn't hurt either. Other than that, I'm assuming the gear setup looks fine?

edit: now that I think of it, one more question: would it be worth dropping some ias for an Atma's (or maybe keeping one in the stash) to proc amp even more if I where to contemplate chaosing? I'd be starfing at 9/2, but with two sources of ctc amp.

okay, duh i just assumed everyone switches 3 times a second like i do. you look fine. i dont think atma's is that great an idea since you do already have wws and it's proc. try it out though, my wws experience is limited.

My first WWS was this kind of hybrid and it works very well, LF is very good for monsters packed in close and then you can pick off the rest with a few strafes (shenk is a good one to do this too). Your gear looks good, of course because you're using wws your bow damage won't be sky high and your fury damage won't be amazing but you should be able to get 1k LF which is more than enough, especially with max pierce.
So it'll work but it won't kill as fast as a wf or faith build and you won't be able to do 8 player games at any kind of speed.
