Anyone ever try a LF/FA Magezon?

I am messing around with my friend, duo'ing with HC chars untwinked.

I am an amazon, he is making a fury druid w/ bear summon we're in A3 and level 26 atm.

I haven't completely settled on anything, but I am thinking it would be really interesting to try making a freezing arrow/lightning fury magezon. Why? Because it seems like I could really take care of any pack of mobs we find (except LI+CI mob packs...=p), and I don't need a good bow or titan's revenge to do it. I just need a bunch of freak'n mana.

The plan so far as been near-base str/dex, lots of vit, and.. I don't know what to do with energy yet. The return for points in energy is so poor that I have just saved up like 30 stat pts as I level, because putting into energy seems like such a waste.

I figure I can use +mana items/whatever mana-regen items we find to keep my mana pool up+regenerating.

Er.. I'm rambling, but I'm sure yo uguys get the idea.

What are your comments on viability? Has this been tried? My only personal reference is my old amazon(that is long-expired) who was FA+LF, but was a Vamp and had good gear.. Not a mageazon.

This sounds like it could be a fun build. I know fa depends on + skills to do heavy damage, which may be a little tricky to come by untwinked (though "lore," "peace" and some shopable plus bow skill gloves could easily go a long way towards this). However lf is still pretty solid with little plus skills (I think Dacar mentioned he could hell cow just fine with plus seven skills at most for lf). If nothing else, you could always freeze mobs and then lf away with impunity. Fa does go through mana quick though, so some tirs socketed somewhere might not be a bad idea for the mana after kills. An "insight" polearm on the merc would also be a cheap, easy-to-find solution as well.

The plus side of this is with fa and one synergy and lf, you've got some leftover points to spend - I'm imagining d/e/a might not be a bad investment for hc. I haven't play such a build before, but it looks like it could very well do the trick for you.

Both LF and FA needs the same mods, basicly +skills and some ias. Mana will be an issue, but there's always potions.

For untwinked play, runewords are pretty much the only equipment you can count on.
Just don't aim higher than maybe a Ko or Fal though. Peace, Lore, Rhyme, Smoke... there are quite a few.
For your bow, Melody would be awesome, if you get lucky enough to get that Ko. Knockback and +6 skills... yummy.
