Zeal Singer Build

[Austere]

Combining the two builds, zeal and singer, for optimal damage.

Skill points:
20 Warcry
20 Weapon Mastery
20 Howl
20 Battle Cry
20 Taunt

This build uses the passion runeword, which can be difficult to use, because of the % chance to monster flee. But with the warcry and taunt, monsters won't be going anywhere.

My build can also use a phoenix shield on switch or as normal to get some extra mana, and a might merc with pride or infinity if I need the extra mana.

What do you think? Can I make it better?

How do you plan on dealing with phys immunes?

Passion also gives level 1 of berserk along with zeal. My original intention was to use a spear for maximum damage, but can't go into spear mastery and use a shield without losing somewhere.

Why a spear? They don't do any more damage than other types, and they're not faster either.

Swords, on the other hand, are faster than other two-handers for zeal-barians.

Do you think the dmg output that you will have will allow you to kill well enough in hell? Im mean warcry isnt exactly a power house skill in dmg terms, and im not completely sure what the dmg of a pb passion looks like with a Pheonix and such.

I think it sounds variable for sure though, provided you have enough leech and dmg out put, and as a barb even with a base lvl 1 bo you life should be fine, though i would use a Insight on my merc since warcry's mana cost is insane...

I think one thing you need to think about is where is your fcr going to come from? You can prolly get through hell ok with the fcr bp thats under 105 ( i think its 75?) just beware of that.

I don't think I'll need as much fcr as a normal singer, because I'm not going to stand there and spam-warcry my enemies to death, I'll be hitting them with zeal too. But, I'll be looking into a 2-handed zeal weapon first, I think. I'm untwinked so the fcr will have to come from runewords I look up later or random items I find.
