I've been playing my necro and it looks like I can only cast one curse on a monster, if I cast another curse on it, it looks like it replaces the previously casted curse. Can I only have one curse on something at any one time?

Yes if you have a cursed creature, and u will curse it again, the old curse is replased by the new one. You can always curse 1 curse..

But there is one exeption, if you curse confuse, and then attract, confuse will stay, only it wont help you much ;)

^^pretty much
decrep is sometimes useful in 1 on 1 encounters or for more defensive play, but amp is generally best. dim vision can occasionally be useful in taking souls out of the equation and sometimes lwoer resist for party play/to help mages.

OMG that would mean reroll :( forget that. I figure I can use decrepify for bosses atleast and occasional defensive play like tank said. Still, what does my summonmancer need lower resist for if I have amp? Which I was going for the 7 curses on the right side of the tree.

Lower resist will be useful for:
a) CEing PI's, since it lowers their fire resist by easily 50%, while amp lowers it by 20%.
b) Unbreakable PI's.
c) Mages.

But it is really not that useful for a pure summoner.

And it's 6 points I COULD put somewhere else, but probably won't.

Hello,

Both Confuse and Attract cannot be overidden, although I am unsure if either on specifically takes precedence over the other. Perhaps whichever is cast first since it (cannot be overidden) will remain. However this feature is very handy when used in conjunction with all of the other curses as you can cast Confuse or Attract, and then cast whichever curse you want around (or on top of) the Confused/Attracted monster. This will allow you to have multiple curses on screen at once, just not on one specific enemy. Even if you are only going to use Amplify Damage, you can still use Attract (for example) on select enemies and cast Amplify Damage on all the monsters around the Attracted ones. I have said this before, and I will say it again. . . combining Attract with Decrepify gives you ridiculous crowd control. Attract one enemy and then Decrepify those going to attack the Attracted one. This will on one hand lure all of the Decrepified monsters to one location (buying you time, and taking the heat off of your weakling Necromancer), and on the other hand will cause the lured Decrepified monsters to take twice as much time killing the Attracted monster as they are only doing 50% damage (buying you even more time, and continuing to take heat off of your weakling Necromancer). Additionally, your Skeleton horde will still be killing the Decrepified monsters faster than normal as they are taking 50% more damage, and once the Attracted monster is killed by the Decrepified ones attacking it you have a perfect setup for Corpse explosion and a fresh centered corpse with which to do it. Finally, add in a Clay Golem, and an Act II or Act III Ice elemental Mercenary for added slow effects (in addition to that of Decrepify) to tie up/lure monsters for hilariously long times!

Hope this helps. . .
