With that gear setup, you should have no problems soloing hell, other than Iron Maiden of course. I would stick with the Guilaumes... the +skills from Shako does very little for a Zealot. Delerium is good... but it will cancel out life tap.

I would highly recommend getting a source of Life Tap - Draculs Grasp would be the easiest. Shop for a wand with LT charges if you can't get Dracs (or Last Wish, Exile...)

Provided she is Life Tapped and there are no harpies flying around throwing oranges at you, smiting Lilith should be no problems.

For Ubers, you'll need to crank up your resistances a lot - remember, Meph's aura will lower your resistances by 125%. Griswold's shield would be the one to use.

Hi.

- So your saying that my deliruim on my merc will cancel a possible life tap ( wand or dracul's ) if hitten/hit ?

- And btw I have switced my Athena's for a Balrog Spear I just found , dont laugh 903-1811 , but thats what I have :)

PP.S.

-Q just came to me... I am a new player to paladin, and specially this build. If and when I meet up with a nasty Boss ( have DC in mind when replyling ) do I "just" run towards(smite), distance me( if needed) ,zeal ( fana ) - drink heals ( if needed ) ..and all over again....lol I know how this must look..but I really am a n00b when it comes to this :)

Yes, Delirium is a bad idea if you want to be able to count on the healing you get from Life tap.

Zeal and Smite are used in different situations. Zeal is a very fast melee attack that attacks multiple opponents - you will be using this most of the time.

Smite is slower, less damaging and only attacks one target. However it automatically hits your target if it is in range. It cannot be blocked and it completely ignores all your target's defenses. When your target is life tapped, and you get healed (a lot) every time you hit it. So you can see how LT and Smite together can make you near unkillable.

So use Zeal most of the time, but Smite in situations where the target is hard to hit and you're taking heavy damage. (e.g. Bosses)

You don't need top gear to make a successful uber-running Zealot - Resistances, Life Tap, Crushing Blow, Open Wounds and an Elite Shield is all you need, and you already have most of them.

Use Griswold's as your main shield... You'll need the resistance... You may want to look into getting some FHR charms... And as Lanceor said, Life Tap is a must... This will see you though soloing Hell, and taking on DClone...

Now, a quick note about Uber Trist... Ditch that merc before you go in... Perhaps bring him along for taking on the mini ubers, but if he dies, leave him dead...

Uber Izzy's level usually has Oblivian Knights, and they like to cast the Iron Maiden curse which is deadly for any melee character... You'll die, and your merc will die... Be careful, and use something that is ranged, or uses magical damage... I like the Passion rune word for the berserk skill... Works very well!

Uber Duriel's level is really easy because he's always just north of the portal... No worries there...

Lillith is tough... So much physical and poison damage, and those Vile Witches are nasty... Your merc will likely die here, and you will too if you aren't careful... Take some time, and learn how to use the charge skill to close the distance between you and them and kill them quickly before they kill you... They like to run away while 40 of their sisters pound on you... Lillith is handled just like any other boss... I'll get to that in a sec...

Uber Trist: Leave your merc out of this place... He's going to die anyway, and more than likely, he's going to put you into a really bad situation... He'll awaken the Ubers before you're ready for them, or something... They are just a pain in the butt unless you can control them with tele... They are really not recomended for this set up, nor are they really needed...

Meph first... Always... Get rid of him, and the others will fall quite easy... For Meph, just stack your resists...

Now, how to deal with a boss: Hot key zeal and smite... Zeal first to get life tap rolling, then switch to smite... Point and click, then hold the button down... It's all about keeping an eye on your life bulb then... If life tap fails, runs out and doesn't cast again (this has happened to me once) or if it just gets lower than you'd like, use a rejuve... If you die, do not try to go after your body, you'll just die again... Exit and come back...

Don't open the portal until your game is permed! That way you can come back...

Cheers!

Hi.

- thanks alot for the help and Req, thanks for the extra's :) ..thing is that I have pretty much what you old timers would call a poor to "rich" set up, but hell if I can tank an 8 player game. Just tried a few times to really see if I could... but what works best ( or when I get applauses ) is wen I stand in the back and have my skilled +15 salvation on...d.....o.....h... Again it (ALL) comes down to having that darn anni+ torch BEFORE I allocate at lvl 75. And of course a few rune words items.... schaefer's/hoto/Cta just dont cut it...for me..
Still need a HoZ/Zerk ( guessing thats a one handed beserker axe, 6 slotted ) to BoTD ? ) to get atleast a few hits in on a 8 player/hell

Don't use Torch or Anni on your Trist/DC killer, because you probably want to get the torch(or anni) out ASAP. HoZ is not really necessary neither, and since you have a griz shield, use that as your main shield. The weapon, as you stated, is a bit lacking, and a eBotDz would do nicely. My only other real suggestion is to get a life tap wand. Tap meph with it and he is as good as gone. No need to zeal to attempt to get life tap going. This is important if you are only using dracs, but if you are using exile or something with a decent chance to cast, then it is not necessary.
