Gear for zealer

Ok ive never ever played a pala before and decided to make a zealer to do ubers n baal etc liked the look of one of the guides.

I wanted to get some of the main gear before i build him.

So far ive got an enigma for him and ive just made a botd tha does 118 - 380dmg anyone know if thats good or bad? shld i trade and get something better or wld that do?

Also can someone recomend a decent shield for me to use?

depends on ur funds and how rich one is to make him...like i hear a grief would be alittle better...and what did u make it in? some use a hoz(herald of zakurum?sp?) sheild or if u got the money a exile. umm i use a chains of honor..but that nigma i could c as being good umm sometimes fort is used...i would also suggest looking at the 1pt smiter guild...it helps alot for ur situation it should be in the stickys

Made my botd in a berserker axe. am using engima so i can tele for key runs mainly.

Regarding the weapon choice, a Grief PB is by far the best weapon for a PvM Zealot with plans of doing Ubers. This is because of the way the added damage on Grief works with Smite. Check out the 1pt Smiter guide deademon mentioned. You will find everything you need there. It will also help you avoid over spending, since you can defeat the Ubers with relatively inexpensive gear and a little common sense.

By the way, why did you make Botd in a non-eth Zerker axe? It won't have much resale value (if any). Ironically, it's still a decent weapon, but you can do much better.

That's my 10 cents.

Oh, did I mention it'll cost you an ungodly fortune?

The question ur askin has been answer 10 times over in guides that provide all the info u need to build a uber running zealot.

You need:

1) Crush blow - recomment at least 50%
2) Life tap - proc'ed is best, wand charges can work in pinch
3) Zeal for minions, smite for bosses
4) Solution for Meph's conviction - 300% resists/lvl 24 conviction

The gear you pick and skills must supply all of these.

Mind you, I also plan to melee duel that's why I use Angelics and Eth Templars for lots of defense. For PvM, use metalgrid for res, AR, defense or highlord's can work in PvM and PvP for DS and 1 skill. And you can use BK for skills and LL or another Ravenfrost for more dex and AR

you got too much ias, even with the worst roll of ur grief i think 40 ias offweapon will do.
also its better to switch hoz umd/pdiamond, you most dmg will be coming elemental wise
ur setup looks very expensive but totally unnecessary to do all that, cb will be dealing most dmg in a certain way, u just want dmg for the extra tid left, youd rather wanna survive and get (if u want to stay on the rich/duping side) a 15/15 jewel (ias/res.)
and def isnt you biggest concern in general pvm and also not THAt important in ubertrist.

It'll certainly help. But most of the damage? Maybe for ubers. But for others it's only going aid, not make the weapon.

If you're doing ubertrist with this build you won't have any problem. My set-up is meant to be an overall great build for a Pally. I suppose if Sharppp really wants for purely ubers, build a smiter with simple gear: Guillame's, gores, Grief, PDiamond pally shield and use Salvation and Treachery and you'll be safe. That's all you really need. But to lavish in sheer might, go my route.
