When using bone spirit/spear, do skill points that come from items add to the synergy bonus? Example, if I only add one point to bonewall and prison but items make them both lvl 18 do I get the lvl 18 bonus?

Pretty sure the answer is no. Only hard points count.

Very few exceptions out there to this rule. I think Druids for example do get some benefit from "soft" point synergies but Necros don't me thinks.

We did have the Marrowwalk bug, but Blizz fixed it.
