Best merc for hdin/damage question

I just made a Uberdin (sticky at top of forum), basicly a hammerdin with 10 in light resist aura.

He pvp's ok and pvm's ok (low hammer dmg and mine hasnt got to 125fcr yet which I see as the most important lol.

Anyway, I plan to use him to mf as well, probably doing keyruns and then ubers. Which merc is best for a pala of this type? I have a defiance merc with an insight weap at the moment but he just dies a lot so I need to sort his gear.

Before I do this, is there a better type of merc for a keyrunning/mf hdin?

Lets say getting any type of merc any equip isn't a problem.

Any merc suits a hammerdin fine for PvM, but the ones that shine are the Act 2 holy freeze(nm def) and prayer(norm/hell combat) using Insight poles. I personally enjoy the holy freeze aura, but hate the annoying merc deaths in Chaos Sanctuary so I went with an Act 1 rogue using Ice runeword bow. I still get my holy freeze aura, and only lose out on meditation as an aura. I have ~1200 mana with BO, so I usually don't sweat it. Redemption is always just a keystroke away...

I find even with bo I run out of mana while teleing to keys/bosses etc.

But thats a good idea.

I use holy freeze merc,even if he dies in cs ive got redemption as backup :)
