help with rabies druid

Hi, I'm trying to follow Kaz's Flaming Rabies build, and I was wondering if the poison creeper from Carrion Wind ring still synergizes with Rabies? I'm lvl60 atm, and after I wear the ring, nothing happens to my Rabies poison dmg. Am I missing something? Did the new patch fix this? Thanks!

Yeppers, the bug for synergy bonuses off skills from items doesn't work in this patch. There has been an updated guide just recently put out by Karp and Verashiden - give the "flaming rabies" druid a search or look it up in the pvp stickies.

Rabies only requires 40 skill points (20 Rabies + 20 Creeper), which is why you always see it combined with something else. Either Fire Claws or Fury. Also, I wouldn't want to try leveling with Rabies only; I really prefer a 2nd attack.
