using

Bloodfist
+5 to Min Damage

Isenhart's Lightbrand
Damage: 17 to 18 (17.5 Avg)
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+10 to Min Damage
20% Increased Attack Speed

With 100%ED, would I be doing 44~46 damage?
And with 1-20 Lighting Damage, My lying character screen shows 45~46. Shouldn't I be doing 44~46 physical damage as well as 1-20 lighting damage?

Thanx for help.

Well, first of all there are more things to consider when determining your actual damage. The most important of which is your strength bonus, but the form of attack can also modify the damage (though I'm assuming normal attack).

Regardless, you are right in saying that the +1-20 lightning damage will be added on top of the physical damage. Assuming that's 100% off-weapon enhanced damage, and assuming a strength stat of 50, you should be doing about 43-65 damage, including the elemental bonus. Excluding it, you'd be doing 42-45 damage.

Basically, if min damage is greater than max damage, then max damage is equal to min damage + 1.

Err... you lost me here. Are you assuming +100% ed (including str bonus) or +(100+50)% ed? Either way, the number seems (a little) off.

17+5 min, 18 (23?) max
+100% ed:
22*2 = 44 min, 23*2 = 46 (or is it 18*2=36<44 --> 45?)

99% of the time, yes, but there is one exception that I am aware of. Specifically, Poison Javelin- at level 36, it will deal 14,015 to 14,015 damage unsynergized, and every level after that, its minimum will exceed its maximum (slvl 50 = 32,959 to 31,220 damage).

Practically speaking, I don't know what happens when Poison Javelin flips out at high levels. I don't know if a slvl 50 Poison Javelin just uses the maximum as a minimum and the minimum as a maximum (rolling something between 31,220 and 32,959), or if it just deals 32,959 with every hit. Given how small the difference is compared to the total damage values involved, combined with the fact that I don't mod, there's no practical way for me to test that.

Sorry, I forgot about your bloodfist. I didn't take that into account, but basically yes it'd be 22-23 damage before calculating the ED%. The strength bonus wasn't factored into the 100% ED. Here's the steps in this particular calculation:

1. Weapon base damage = 7-14
2. On-weapon ED% = 0, so don't worry
3. Weapon +10 min damage = 17-14 = 17-18 (max = min+1)
4. Bloodfist +5 min damage = 22-18 = 22-23 (max = min+1 again)
5. Off-weapon ED% and strength bonus
- Off-weapon ED% = ED%/100 = 100/100 = 1
- Strength bonus = str/100 = 50/100 = 0.5
- Total Bonus = 1 + 1 (ed%) + 0.5 (str) = 2.5
- Total damage = 22-23 * 2.5 = 55-57 physical damage
6. Elemental damage = 1 - 20 lightning damage
- Total damage including elemental = 56-77 damage

It should set the maximum bite dmg to min+1, and with a long duration the maximum will still be a bit higher than the minimum.
