Hi guys, I was thinking about making a trapsin who goes claw/claw style. I was thinking it would be a firetrapsin, as well. The reason being, it is impossible be reach the second to last faster cast rate breakpoint while using claws unless I take off enigma. That means that my ability to stun using mindblast. So, I'm thinking about using a more efficient stunning tequnique - fire traps. I plan to lay fire traps, and once a person gets hit by one, mind blast them, lay more fire traps, and using fire bomb as a final killer. I would then be able to use an enigma, which is pretty nice, for its teleport ability, frw, 2 skills, and strength. Good or bad idea?
Fire traps have a terrible range, it will almost always miss moving targets. Your best bet is to go all lightning for the superior range. Hoto/Spirit/Arach/Trangs will alow you to reach the 102 FCR BP easily.
EDIT: or even Hoto/Spirit/Arach/Circlet which allows you to wear bloodfists for the nice boosts :)

Proper mind blasting/teleporting can be done with as low as 65 fcr. Ghosts are built around this fact. You can use Circlet/Glove/x1Ring/15fcr +sin amulet. You could also use Arachnid as well, since with claws you don't need Burst of Speed you can fade for DR (which means Verdungo isn't required... as much).
Still, any Fire trapper is better served working on a team. You lock a thousand times better with fire traps but your damage is extremely mediocre. With some practice, you can pretty much auto-kill any opponent because you can lock and a team member can finish quickly unchallenged. Your traps CAN kill, but it takes a tad longer.
But anyway, point is: You can make either a Fire trapper or Lightning trapper with 65 fcr. I feel that, given you have proper claws, the Hoto/Spirit combo doesn't come close to the usefulness of weapon block in duels. So don't feel like you're forced to make a fire trapper, you'll be fine without that last breakpoint.
Yea, I just kinda like off the wall builds :tongue: . I already have the amulet from my old kicksin, so I think that the real trouble will be getting those claws :shocked: . Thanks for your help, I've also found that firetraps are harder for me to kill with most of my characters, but I don't think they would do as well against chargers and bvcs as a light trapper.
I didn't say that mb/tele can't be done effectively at 65FCR.. ^^" .. I'm giving him a tried and true setup he can use. However, he didn't specify team or 1v1 duels or if he was gonna play mostly in pubs. That would make a big difference. If pubs, certainly light > fire due to its versatility.
