Fortitude, 1404 defence

Right now, my barb is extremely mediocre, what should I get to enhance his play and damage and make him an overall better barb?

Well my ww barb uses...

Upped areats
2 botd cb
fortidtude
highlords
and the rest is random stuff

stats...

20ww
20 sword mastery
1 berzerk
20 bo
20 shout
1 resistances
rest iron skin

U need enough strengh to use gear the rest into life

I do about 6k dmg in each hand and has 22k defence. Can solo hell easy try n follow something more like this.

Right now, iono, i might be noob or whatever, but don't flame me haha. What is botd cb?

20 Mace Mastery
20 Concentration
19 Battle Orders (so far)
12 Whirlwind
5 Iron Skin
4 Natural Resistance
3 Shout
And accidently..
2 Leap Attack

With the fortitude shield thing, shout, and concentration defence bonus I get to about 19k-20k defence.

botd cb is breath of dying runeword in a collosus blade. 20k defence is pretty good mines around that.

personally i wldnt have maxed mace mastery but if u can find a decent weopon under that catagory and make a botd then ule be sorted. Also ide definatly max shout.

Also are you using a shield? or is fortitude ur armour? since uv maxed concentrate it would make sense to use a shield and a 1 handed weapon.

At the moment, I am using Immortal King's Stone Crusher, which is of course, a maul. If I were to find a BOTD hammer, where would I find it in? I think it takes 6 sockets, and I think I wouldn't be able to find anything that would have 6 sockets except a maul... =/ what do I do? I don't think I know of any hammers that can have 6 sockets, or I've never seen one.

If there is, where can I find one, where can I buy one, and how good it is it etc.

If there is a 1h hammer with 6 sockets, should I use Stormshield?

there are noo 1 handers with 6 sockets i know of (maces) but the highest damage hammer is the thundermaul...and a botd in that can deliver some crazy damage :smiley: i dont know why all these people are advising collosus blades.... :rolleyes:
if you cant get your hands on a botd...(as 6 sox eth tmauls r hard to find....) afew nice 1 handed options would baranaras, stormlash, nords etc...you may aswell make the use of the fact you can use maces by going fr huge damage with a hammer IMO, if you wanted 1 hander, should've gone for swordsa and axes.
if you play on europe, i can give you most of the gear ive mentioned :thumbsup:
change boots to gores, gloves to steelrends or something else more useful than IK and swap belt for SoE...amulet should be highlords and get yourself at least 1 ravensfrost. carrion wind is a nice cheap ring slot...or natures peace if you want to run nilathak :grin:

I think completing the IK set could work just fine. Sure there are better configurations- but they aren't always so easy to obtain.

I'd rather use Arreat's Face and all that stuff rather than IK. I think all of my IK stuff replaced would result in a pretty good character: Stonerends, whatever an SoE is, a BOTD Thundermaul...

steel rends can be quite expesnive, so there are other gloves that you can use...some go for souldrainers for 7//7 leach...SoE=string of ears...has damage reduction and life leach (up to 15%DR and 8%LL)
what they're worth depends on the realm you play...europe/uswest/useast/asia?

I wouldn't recommend an eBotD Thunder Maul on a WW barb. Why?? Because it's not fast enough. You need an eBotD in a base speed [0] two handed weapon to hit the fastest WW breakpoint. That means either a Great Poleaxe or Ghost Spear. Both of those will deal more damage than the Thunder Maul because they hit 1.5 times as much (every 4 frames compared to every 6 for the TM).

EBotD Thunder Maul is more of a Charger or Avenger weapon, or even a non-WW barb. Something like a Concentrator Barb or Berserker or Leap Attack Barb (booyaka!).

Actually, I'm a WW and Conc. hybrid class; I play USWest, Ladder, so how much would each of these things be worth?

rebuild m8 and ditch the ik maul as it is too late to adjust and as stated the thundermaul is too slow for whirlwind.

It wont take long to rebuild and u can have a setup like this,

fortitude
arreat
ravens rings
highlords
gores
verdungos or string of ears
and a weapon like even a death cleaver or botd or oath in a bezerker axe
glove wise i think soul drainers are a waste ur better of using LOH(Laying of Hands gloves) or Draculs which give strenght lifetap which can trigger with conc when u use + ow. Rends have too much of a high requirement for a glove
