View Full Version : speed
ok, im sorry, but im an oldschool player coming back after a long time of "AFK" so i dont really understand the speed charts, but i can make my fireclaw druid with 290 ias with a 6 sock shealed PB (-30 speed, if that means anything) and the speed chart says i can get 6 frames, is that a good number to get or does transforming have a cap speed?
i can get around 10k in dmg pretty easily but i dont really know if this guy is worth making if i cant get good speed on him...btw, im planning on PvP, not PvM, just incase that changes anything

I believe that a 6 shael PB will give a 4 frame attack with FC, the big problem with FC is fire immunes. I you have a way to deal with them or if you are in a party then fill your boots. If not... your gonna have problems in hell.

like i said, im NOT doing PvM, im doing PvP, therefore, im not gonna fight fire immune players, i was just wondering if bearform or wolfform had a speed cap if i hit over 200ias or 300 ias? if there was any difference

PB needs 110 IAS to reach 4 Frame FC on Bear, the fastest attainable. Wolves hit a fastest of 5 frame FC.

I've personally had a blast with my fc druid in pvp. Switching between fissuring/volcano in human form and bear for fireclaws often confuses the daylights out of pubs who aren't used to much more than smiters/ww barbs/sorcs/etc. (or so it's been my experience). :wink3:
They're probably a little less gear intensive than a decked out fury/rabies wolf or something of the like. As far as the speed goes, use a 6 shael phase until you can come up with the 15 ias/ar or resist jewels for a 110 ias phase. I ought to have a 6os one laying around that has your name on it if you're on east ladder. I could show you gear too if you'd like. If not just post again and an actual setup can be listed if you're curious.
that would be cool queen mebd, i am on east ladder so any help from anyone would be much appreciated =) showing me what gear to make would be great too, thx for any help....my account name is Kilken if you wanna get ahold of me

I'll look you up next time I'm online. Also forgot to post this even though it's right out of the stickies: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=298202.
It's a really solid guide and good starting point - and not too dated either (actually the only thing really pertinent would be using 9 shapers and a torch rather than ten).

Kilken just remaber that its the ias on the weapon wias that makes things work. Not the ias on other things oias. Or skill basied ias Sias.
hey puma, question for ya, or anyone else who knows...if it all has to do with the weapon, whats the point of IAS in other gear? or the weapon thing only apply to transforming?

OIAS doesn't mean anything to a Wolf. WIAS applies at all times, not just when you shift. So Every attack it applies.
