Ok, I admit it,
I love Druids and they are my new favorite build. So, I've built a Mighty Kodiak Summoner and a Hunter Fire Mentalist. I'm ready to start thinking ahead to my next build. I'm looking for something off the beaten path...even obscure but it has to be awesome....ideas??????
SSOG, where are you when I need you......LOL

EDIT: Oh yeah, I have an awesome upped and shaeled ribcracker to use as a weapon.
Id go for a hybrid fury wolf with strong dire wolf and summon bears.
I loved my pvm fury / summon wolf , its fun seein a werewolf and dire wolves all attacking.

That does sound fun. Is there any special gear I should be watching out for? What skill point distribution would you recommend for the build?
Found Bjam's Ribcracker Fury Druid Guide. I have most of the gear he recommends. His skill selection maxes the shapeshift skills with a few left-over points available for a spirit...HoW or Oak Sage.

If you're asking me... Fireclaw/Shockwave Werebear is my favorite druid build, bar none. I've built about a half dozen, and they never get old. Not really off the beaten path, but there's very little that's more fun than a slvl 15 Shockwave.

I myself like the werewolf/summoner hybrid that also uses cyclone armor. Just lay wast to your enemies with Fury, Feral Rage, Dire Wolf/Grizzly and Ravens, Poison Creeper, and any one of the spirit pets. A good way to lay waste to your enemies without worrying about dying due to Lightning, Fire, and Cold damage and keeping your health in check without using too many health potions. The complete set of "Aldur's Watchtower" would definitely help you here.

Well, yes I'd ask you. I respect your knowledge, tried a couple of your builds and have liked them alot. Done the werebear thingy though and thought I might try a werewolf.
I read the Fury guide and am not sure how a hybrid would work with regards to point allocation and gear.
Whenever I make a new build, I always ask myself how will this character fare against immunities? Does he have more than one type of attack such as physical/elemental in order to overcome immunities? And lastly, for melee characters, how will he fare vs. Iron Maiden? With regards to the Fury Wolf, with the wrong weapon choice, I may not be able to overcome physical immunities and the Ribcracker was the weapon of choice in the Fury guide. Ribcracker has great physical attack but no source of elemental attack. One whack with the Ribcracker with Iron Maiden and I'd be toast. There also doesn't appear to be any form of elemental attack in the skill sets.

That is what I was thinking but that is too many skills to max. How would you break it down?
Anyone have any ideas on the build or suggestions for other builds that are awesome?

You know, Fireclaws isn't a Werebear-exclusive skill here. It could easily solve both of your concerns, and you could even pair it up with Fury without much trouble. Of course, then you lose out on the best Druid Skill Evar.

LOL, I know how highly you regard Shockwave:)
OK then if I was to make this Shockwave Bear, and I'm not promising to do so  , I have a beauty upped/shaeled Ribcracker, Jalal's of course, CoH, Gores, +2 Druid Ammy with resists and other mods, a Ravenfrost, BK or dual leach ring with resists, I'm guessing crafted gloves with IAS, dual leach and CB. Or would I be better to go with a one hand weapon and a shield with a max block set-up? I have a bid on a Stormlash Scourge  .
What does the skill point distribution look like?

No need to max out all of the skills that I listed, just max out Fury, Feral Rage, Werewolf, Lycanthropy, and either Cyclone Armor or the spirit pet that you would choose. Put any leftover points into the other listed skills and let the plus to all skills/druid skills do the rest.

Correction: allocate points as you go. For example, until I reached lv. 6, I put one point in Raven, one in Poison Creeper, one in Werewolf, and one in Lycanthropy.
