LLD Werewolf

Hi all. I must say I've always been a huge fan of wind druids, and have built and enjoyed three of them so far in my D2 career. It's time for something a little different though.

I found a sexy SS amulet, something like:

2 ss skills, 10 fcr, all resists, 16 str, magic find mod(laf),lvl 30 requirement

I had also found a 12 fhr ss skiller and a plain one in quick succession, which finally convinced me to create my new wolfie. Then it hit me that I'm entirely too lazy(and frankly a bit bored with D2[gasp]) to level this guy to ~90. I guess what I would like to do is make a level 30 werewolf, and would appreciate any input you fellows may have into such a build.

LLD fury wolves can actually be the *best* low-level melee duelers. You've made a fine choice ;) You do realize that you can't use the SS charms on your new wolfie though, don't you?

Anyways. Skill assessment, you're looking for lots and lots of life (as always when dueling) so put a lot into lycanthropy/oak sage. Fury should of course be your main attack. To supplement it try to get ahold of a +3 Fury 3os gray hat (fill with damage jewels) or, ideally (good luck finding it) a +2 shapeshifting/life mod magic hat with 3 fury base, 2 socketed from larzuk. *salivates*

Yessir, I know the skillers are now a waste with their level 42 requirement. In all honesty I'm loving this guy already, soloed Andariel in normal at level 8 IIRC. I found a 2 lycanthropy/3 oak sage wolf head early on, which has helped immensely. I've also been stockpiling damage/max/ar/whatever jewels for months. I made a 15% ed 6x shael crystal sword yesterday, and the game promptly dropped while xfering it. I started from scratch with a 6x shael regular crystal. Is this going to be the best weapon for me?

Your damage will be fairly low with 6 shael crystal sword.
Great choice for LLD fury druid is ribracker. It's fast, decent dmg, good fhr.

As for the other items i would get something like:

2 soc / 2 shape coro with 15 max dmg jewels.
4 soc armor with 4x 15 max dmg jewels.
bloodfists.
death's belt.
angelics or shape amu
+ ar/ stats ring or angelics
cow king boots or sanders.

bag full of life / other stats charms

This setup should give you decent dmg, ok life with charms and fast attack speed.

Ribcracker is level 31 requirement though, we typically cut off LLD at level 30.

Peace is better than a simple 60 max armour...

Also ribcracker is crap - 6 Shaeled eth Naga is best weapon, simple as.

Max damage charms and jewels (aim for 24's at level 30) will increase the damage nicely. Any jewel below 20 max damage is pretty gimp for level 30.

2% Chance To Cast level 15 Valkyrie On Striking
+2 To Amazon Skill Levels
+20% Faster Hit Recovery
+2 To Critical Strike
Cold Resist +30%
Attacker Takes Damage of 14

The critical hit works for any class that wears it.
The Critical strike would become a passive skill when you equip the armor , it wont show up on skill list but you still gain the 25% chance to do double your melee damage.
