bloodraven hell!! [Archive] - Diablo 3 & Diablo 2 Forums

Hi there

I'm playing a trapassin and I have just started Hell for the first time. I'm having a real nightmare (pardon the pun) killing Bloodraven.

i'm using my shadow and an act 2 merc and I just can't get close to her.

I'm not up to going toe to toe with her so I need to rely on my traps and tanks... but she keeps raising her minions which distract my tanks and traps away from her.... the best I can do is throw a heap of confuse at the minions and hope they turn and attack Bloodraven.. but she's so fast she just runs away from them.

Having lost a heaps of goodies to some scumbag when I shared a quest I am reluctant to get anyone else involved unless they can guarantee that they won't just do her in and filch all the goodies....

any ideas on how I can do her in?

First, do you have maxed fireblast or infinity, or at the very least a strong merc? The minions are all light immune, so if you don't have that, you will be in 1 hell of a fight. Second, do you have a decent level of death sentary? If you do, spam it, and the corpse explosion will kill her and her minions quick. If you don't, it will be very troublesome.

Cloak of shadows and mind blast for crowd control. Death sentry to destroy the minions' bodies.

Use mind blast to pin Blood Raven to a fence or tombstone once there are no or few minions to deal with. You can toss some fire blasts in there or let your merc and shadow deal with her while you keep her stuned.

Thanks.... my death sentry is the last trap to work on, it's only around level 6.... I don't have cloak of shadows.

I don't have infinity, do you mean the polearm runeword? Just looked it up.. not sure if I have the runes to make that yet.... need to trade for them I guess and I'm not "up" on trading.... maybe I'll have to go back to nightmare and rack up some more levels... oh joy...

Will try trapping her against a wall though.... I can see that working.

One thing.. does she raise minions outside the fence? I wondered if I could keep her outside there it might be easier....

oh dear, this would suggest you don't have one in MindBlast either?

i would remedy this, perhaps another few nm baal's will get a point in each. then get to work on that death sentry. you need at least a base in cos & mb for all round pvm crowd control ownage.

ok... just been and looked, I do have one in cos and a couple in mb... so I'll give that a go.... but yes am doing the nm baal thing a few times to rack up some more levels... cheers

You should consider getting lawbringer when fighting Blood raven. This runeword give lvl 18 sanctuary which works great against undead and she and her minions are undead. You could make a lawbringer crystal sword for u and a polearm for your merc.
