Hi all,

Could someone help me out by giving a link, or posting it here, a full list of all the chat-commands that exist in diablo 2? I am tired of trying to find it somewhere on the internet, i can't find it! I'm sure it's listed somewhere....

Also, is there a way to squelch a player from sending messages towards you?

THx alot in advance.

/f a <account> - Add to friends list
/f m - Sends message to all friends
/f l - Shows list of all friends with online/offline status
/msg *<account> - Sends message to account (Can also use /w *<account>)
/msg <character> - Sends message to character (Can alsou use /w *character)
/f r <account> - Removes from friends list
@<character> - Sends message to character that is in the game you are in
/ignore *<account> - Ignores account only for the character you are on at the time (I'm 95% sure that this command does this and is the only one that only does it per character)

/w %f# - send msg to specific friend where # is the number of friend in the list.
/f p - Promotes the account name in your friends list.
/f d - Demotes the account name in your friends list.

From battle.net

Chat Protection /Options (alias: /o)
There are three separate flags, which a user can set to customize which incoming chat messages are ignored.

Whispers - when on, private messages from people who are not in your friends list will be ignored.

/options ignorewhispers (alias: /o igw)
This command will ignore whispers from anyone who isn't in your friends list

/options unignorewhispers (alias: /o unigw)
This command will allow whispers from anyone who isn't in your friends list

Public - when on, messages in public channels from people who are not in your friends list will be ignored.

/options ignorepublic (alias: /o igpub) - ignore messages in public chat channels from anyone who isn't in your friends list

/options unignorepublic (alias: /o unigpub) - allow messages in public chat channels from anyone who isn't in you friends list

Private - when on, messages in private channels from people who are not in your friends list will be ignored.

/options ignoreprivate (alias: /o igpriv) - ignore messages in private chat channels from anyone who isn't in your friends list

/options unignoreprivate (alias: /o unigpriv) - allow messages in private chat channels from anyone who isn't in you friends list

This allows users who are interested in playing games instead of reading spam to cut it off permanently as well as providing protection for people who are being harassed by other users.

/msg <character> - Sends message to character (Can alsou use /w *character)

to whisper a character it is without '*', like /w charname message.

Pretty sure that ignore is similar to Squelch. At least it was back in starcraft =P

Anyways, /squelch *account will completely block an account for as long as you stay online with that account.

Its the same command that is used when "blocking" a character in a game via the Party Screen.

Commands in Channel:
/f a *<account name>
This adds a friend to your friends list. Note there is a cap of 25 friends.

/f r *<account name>
This removes a friend from your friends list.

/f m <insert message>
This one sends a message to all of your friends on your friends list.

/m *<account name>
/m <character name>
/w *<account name>
/w <character name>
These 4 commands send a message to the account or character you typed in.

/squelch *<account name>
/squelch <character name>
These will squelch an annoying player. For the spam bots that join the games, using the Squelch button is easier. The squelch button is found in the Party screen, which you can access by pressing P.

/d2notify
This only works in channels. Type it once to turn it on, a second time to turn it off. Basically, it will alert you if somebody joins or leaves the channel you are in.

/join <channel name>
This will make you join the desired channel that you typed in.

/dnd
Stands for "Do Not Disturb". Once engaged, you will not receive any messages from people. Helpful if you are magic finding and don't wish to be messaged. Note: You can add a message to it, for instance: "/dnd Magic Finding". If you type that, when you receive a message Battle.Net will tell the person sending you the message something along the lines of: Do Not Disturb Magic Finding. You can type in anything you want to as your dnd message.

/away
Similar to /dnd, but you still can receive messages. This is useful if you are going to idle in a channel but still wish to receive messages. It will tell the person you are away. Note: You can add a message to it, for instance: "/away Eating Supper". If you type that, when you receive a message Battle.Net will tell the person sending you the message that you are away Eating Supper. You can type in anything you want to as your away message.

If you wish to be the channel operator (op), you must join your own channel. To do this, type: /join op <your account name here>. There are a few commands that a channel OP can perform. Those are listed below:

/designate <another person in channel's account name>
If you use this, when you leave the channel, the person you designated will become the channel OP. They will remain as an OP until they leave the channel.

/rejoin
You will rejoin your channel. Makes designating an heir to your channel faster.

/kick *<account name>
/kick <character name>
Kicks the person specified out of your channel. They may rejoin at their leisure. Note, you can also add a message for this, and it works the same as the /away or /dnd messages.

/ban *<account name>
/ban <character name>
This will temporarily ban a person from joining your channel. I believe they can get back in if they log out of Battle.Net and log back in, but I can't remember as I rarely have people in my channel.

I think that covers all of the commands, I hope this helps out. :)

EDIT: Gorny beat me to it. Oh well.

Maybe this should be stickied...very handy, well written and concise.Heres a handy one, while not chat related is good to know:

/fps

displays ping/ frames per second/ other info that doesn't make a lot of sense like distance from servor etc
